It's not allowed for avatars but you can use it in worlds and standard isn't the type of shader that should act weird on Quest

@rocky cloak It will look stunning as it will have one of the highest ppi and it uses led's, which means brighter color. the refresh rate is standard at 90 fps, but compared to index it lacks. The fov is fine, but 15 degrees less than the index. The price is cheaper than the index (40% less), but you still need a really beefy pc because of the high ppi. I personally would go with the index because of the high refresh rate, the knuckles, and the wider fov, but others will choose the g2 because of the clarity and price. Again, you do need a minimum of a 1080, i7, and 16 gigs of ram to use this hmd.

not sure how the camera pass through mode works on quest, but if you can see the game and your real room at the same time like on windows mixed reality you could maybe also have the cameras active and then use your phone with those cameras (but I think theyre greyscale only, so no colors)

i was able to see thru them, it was kind of wild

not during vrchat but just while i was messing around before playing

i wasnt able to adjust the quest small enough tho too, which was odd, i dont feel like i have some small head, its pretty normal in my view. the sides i could tighten well enough but the top piece no. the velcro literally stopped like inches too short. so it felt like it was slipping down my face a lot.

@vocal shard have you tried this spawn fix?, it sounds like a connection via network problem though but worth a shot to reset spawn point and world

Right click VRChat in Steam, Properties, Set launch options, fill in "vrchat://launch?ref=vrchat.com&id=wld_97fda4a1-f820-4f09-a88c-2d2a95b668f7:1~friends", this will set your starting world to the Old Hub.

@jolly marlin basically my frd said it was 'memory leak' : playing the game is like writing a book, the longer you play the more you write in the book and when the book is filled it will crash. restarting gives you a new empty book to write in. a better pc = bigger book, really good pc = book never ends

So more people than me have the same problem, as I’ve talked to others who hav ethe same problem no matter their god damned setup. But alright, lots of different people crash in this game and it’s everyone’s fault but this game. Alright. Great.

But a lot of issues come from Badly optimized content by users or simply malicious abuse.

well, to be frank, the game isnt perfecy, but there has to be more reasons to your crashes

VRChat takes more juices you might think, it might show some symptoms of hardware failure you'd not see in your everyday basis.

^This is the case when people claim it killed their GPU for example.

A classic.

There definitely is some issues on some end's, memory management is meh, but a lot of thigns simply also come from unity it self.
