People can make mistakes. If you want the map updated, you need to get in contact with the creator to tell them. They are the ones that need to do the updating.

Quest content is encoded and uploaded to the Android server.
PC content is encoded for windows.
The two platforms can't understand eachothers content, so unless the world or avatar creators upload them for both platforms, quest and PC worlds/avatars don't work together

Good morning, i am since yesterday the Owner of a Valve index. I must say VRChat works great with it but i struggle a bit with one thing. How can i grab and push the buttons on the VRChat Camera (i mean the one you can spawn in VRChat) - I struggle very hard to grab it and/or to push buttons on it. Maybe someone has experience and can tell me if i am just to dumb or if it is really tricky? :d

Beside that i love the index... running it with 120fps/Hz everything in VR looks so smooth. I usually wear glasses (ordered adapters for the index but they need 1 week to arrive) and i could be in VR even without glasses for arround 1 1/2 hours without feeling sick. - Just got a little headache from my eyes trying to read letters but i would get that aswell without the Headset.

i was first angry and thought i got scammed yday because the index was not detected and sound wasn't working.... but then after 3hours googling and testing.... i realised i didn't have the nvidia HDM sound controller installed... after that everything worked.

The normal binding is the left thumbstick button . . . or is it the right . . . I think left. The opposite of jump.

@vocal shard you mean in the upload window? It takes a moment to let you. You can use that time to hit the pause button, go into scene, and reposition the camera.

See if you can get it to stream to some other sort of online player that’s easier to test with. It could be a. I be a number of issues involving ports, access restrictions, or who knows what. You’ll have to play around with it.

When you move your head, it moves in 3d space like in real life. That's something cheaper phone based VR doesn't really capture, since those things can't track in 3d space and the world more moves with your head when you look around, killing the immersion.
A proper VR system really is immersive

If you use it on the ps4 its gonna be a good experience, but if you connect it to the pc, its not gonna be that good. And I think to make the headset track in 3d space you'll need to do some hacky stuff to use the playstation camera for the tracking. If you can, get one of the windows mixed reality headsets instead or even a rift s. Theyre much better experiences for pcvr

Hey everyone. Question on Steam vs Oculus client for new desktop user... I read Oculus client is less laggy but Steam client has gestures mapped to left and right shift + F1-9 and can maybe remap those gestures but Oculus version couldn't? Any changes or recent updates to that? Should I go with Steam to have more gestures?

Steam login uses your Steam credentials for logging in, VRChat login uses your VRChat account. Only VRChat accounts can upload stuff once they reach New User rank

It seems you can play with the Steam launcher but just log in with a VRChat account and it's all good. Just go to the vrchat website and make an account

AFAIK you can merge accounts and they should carry over, but some things from the vrc account will take priority over the steam account

@vernal mirage Hello and welcome to the community. Not sure what platform you're using, but crashes can happen randomly, depending on the type of crash. Some of it can come from your system while others come from people purposely crashing you known as "crashers" and you could've been collateral damage.
