Yeah. If you can't see it, sometimes it can get worn off, you'd have to get the SN out of SteamVR somehow. My guess would be from a system report.

Interesting question, how hard will it be to port VRChat to PS5? PS5 looks pretty optimized for its hardware. Maybe PSVR will be much smoother on it? That controller prototype is insane too.

@eternal olive From a technology standpoint porting VRC to the PS5 likely wouldn't be hard.
However that's not what's stopping them, it's a licensing thing. Sony are much stricter with what they'll allow on their system. Remember when they allowed 'mods' for Skyrim? Any custom external assets were not allowed at all.

That's Unreal, they're always doing crazy cool shit with their engine. Also that had skilled devs working on it. The average VRC avatar creator would struggle to get a passable grade in their first year of game dev class.

When I say 'average VRC avatar creator', I'm talking "download MMD, slap into blender, use CATS on it, slap into unity, download some shaders, upload to VRC".

@crimson bridge hows your pc specs and internet connection, because this game is very demanding when you try to join larger instances and internet speed is used to load in avatars and downloading the worlds megabytes

the only explanation to boot you off from instances is due to crap internet connection

either that or you joined people who uses hack clients that which randomly targets you and kicks you off which is unlikely

Don't know the specs of this pc, and internet is via modem cable. Not going to test the limits as this isn't my pc to do such a thing. I don't join large instances unless I want to confirm a crash.

Each instance of a world can only hold a certain amount of players. If that number is reached, it will no longer appear in the world browser but you will still see that a large number of people are in that world

The servers were having issues plenty of times before, and people always assume it to be DDos. Just from the counter to the right, there's still a lot of people connected so it's not even one of those situations where the server completely died until we had double digit player counts

I know you don't need VR to play VR chat, I was playing with my friends today- we had a few fun games like the Reverso game.

But then we went to Laser Tag and the problem was you had to hold the gun with 2 hands, and you can't do that with mouse and keyboard to my knowledge.

If you understand geometry, how points lines and planes work and intersect... you really won’t have an issue learning 3D modeling. The only hard part is learning the tools themselves. Which thankfully you only need to do once. Then it’s smooth sailing.

I saw people making false claims about Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart, along those lines, people don't that websites need YOUR permission to send your content to other users so that their computers can render their content. In general, think of uploading 3D avatars like uploading 2D profile pictures on discord. Anyone can copy your image and set it as their own profile picture, or just download the picture and use it somewhere else on the internet, and there's nothing you can do to stop them. If your content is super personal that you would not want to risk something like that happening, don't share it online.

The TOS rules are fairly clear - you do not give up ownership of avatars by posting them, you simply give us permission to redistribute those avatars, which you can revoke by deleting those avatars. Being as you are only posting avatars for which you own all copyright, free and clear (right?), you own the avatars and are free to pursue legal action if someone steals that content from you.

When you upload an avatar, there's a little checkbox that says "I have the rights to upload this content to VRChat" and you are only to check that if it's true. Otherwise, you are breaking VRChat ToS. just saying.

Try visiting a bit less popular worlds
Go to the popular worlds tabs and anything that isnt in the top 5biggest should have a different type of people
Communication goes the same as in real life just less mature really. Takes always a few times to find some fun people and unless you contribute to a convo yourself dont expect too much
