In my early hours of vrchat, I did see people who were having photosensitive epileptic episodes. They occur from quick changing brightness and jumpscares. I find this totally fair.
and for nfsw.. well you do have to label your avatar for sexual context when uploading.. and if you stick to isolated worlds..

I’ve been looking and it’s insane lmao, oculus rift and the rift s go for $600+ since all normal resellers are sold out. Have you heard of HTC Vive? It’s pretty cheap but I’m not too sure if it’ll get the job done

the vive works too, but the headset is pretty outdated (same with the rift cv1 btw) but if its your first headset you wont really notice the "downgrade" since its your first impression. And if its the only cheap option remaining then go for it. It'll also allow you to use full body tracking without having to buy extra lighthouses and you can also just buy index headset + controllers instead of the full kit

dont get the oculus go. Its more like a media consumption device rather than a "gaming" vr headset like all the other options. It only has rotation so its not really suitable for games

Sitting, head movement only, are best for Oculus Related stuff
Bassicly if you want to move around or have best tracking then the Valve is to go

in my experience, though i have yet to own a lighthouse or insight / other based tracking system for an extended period of time, based solely on the tracking systems ive tried my personal ranking is LH 2.0 > 1.0 > insight or other > constellashit

for me i rank cosntellation the lowest based primarily on the fact that it's very unstable, takes up so much USB bandwidth, and represents the worst of friction-ful? VR and setting up external trackers
i cant plug in more than two trackers or it wont even let me get past the calibration screen. on two trackers i need specific powered usb 2.0 cables, and if i want more the official advice is to literally buy a USB card and make sure that my sensors are plugged into a specific config

for vrchat I wouldnt recomment the quest. The rift s is better because the standalone version of vrchat on quest is limited. And if you want to hook it up to a pc anyway then get the rift s instead. Not as front heavy and much more comfortable

I love my Quest, but I have to agree with @broken plover. Disclaimer: I'm a huge VR fanboy and bought every Oculus headset since their crowdfunding campaign in 2013 (DK1, DK2, Rift, Rift S, Go, Quest. I also have a Vive.) I recommend the Rift S for Vrchat, because the Quest imho is too heavy and uncomfortable to wear for a long time - at least for me, but I am aware that not everyone feels this way. For me, the Rift S is the most comfortable VR headset I ever used. I can wear it for 8-10 hours a day (crazy, I know). And even though the Quest has a higher pixel density than the Rift S, the actual picture quality of the Rift S beats the Quest's because of the RGB pixels the screen of the Rift S uses (which result in less screendoor effect). The Quest is a great mobile gadget for short VR sessions with family and friends, but if you are planning to buy a VR headset for long PC sessions, get the Rift S - it's an amazing headset in terms of comfort and price-performance ratio. (Or get both the Rift S and Quest, that's still cheaper than an Index lol)
Edit: If you already own a Quest, then enjoy it! It's awesome, too! I love them both, I just prefer the Rift S for VRchat. And I'd love to own an Index, too, but enough is enough xD

Hello guys. I am pretty new to VR and especially VRChat, I dont know anyone nor do I have anyone to really talk to on VR but I am trying to find some friends to make but every place I go it is filled with little kids. I am a 20 year University Student and would like to find some more mature friends on this bih. I am on quest so thats is that. the quest usually has a younger audience due to lots of parents getting them for their kids. you could try getting on pretty late in the us timezone like after 11 pm pst
but you will find a lot of older people on the pcvr version so if you have a pc you could use quest link
