These AREN'T people I feel particularly motivated to talk to again. Not that I won't, just that I don't know their motives. I want to go go back to the friends I have good conversations with, and I so far don't have any friends like that so far.

Becoming verified by the trust system is based on reaching a not time based trust score, which's exact algorithm is unknown to prevent exploitation.
You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner with your VRChat account, walking around, meeting people and also making some friends. Idling won't help.
According to many responses in this discord, a rough estimate would be ** 20-40 hours**, but big exceptions are possible.
Make sure you are not using a steam or oculus account and continue playing the game until you get a notification or e-mail.

I've noticed that when playing VRchat, after some time, my PC says it's low on disk space. I'm unsure if this is why I'm sometimes facing lag/crashing. This seems to be affecting my C drive, even though I launch VRchat from my D drive.

I had to help my ex-girlfriend set that up for her Rift S a long while back
you will need SteamVR Basestations and the OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator application to sync the positions up between your headset and trackers

Most people's avatars are performance blocked by default now and a lot of people are just uploading 15 mesh, 30 material, 80k tris avatars for Quest, then telling everyone to just show everyone's avatars. Unsurprisingly the Quest will normally shit itself in short order.

All steam networked games back in the day (2-3 years ago) had the same problem. Beta has the current steam networking system now and relays packets.

Sorry about the late reply, but some worlds don’t have markers at all and most of the time I would have to depend on miming skills in order for someone to understand me
I would of course use markers over sign language though
I constantly use markers anyway

A few tips have a reference point where you try to keep it centered when turning
And if you can use the back of your feet to rotate then change direction by walking
Everyone does it differently =)
If you want to me to see your walking and assist you add me and we can walk side by side
And use advanced settings to see how many meters you did =)

I never tried yet but I use the Vive and pressing my touchpad to turn shows a lot, it's probably not gonna be smooth at all

Yeah, it's hard to mask the turning on Vive. You can however setup steam-VR advanced settings to provide and automatic method for perfect smoothness.

Yeah, something like that. It's basically the same as playspace mover, far as I understand, except rotating instead of traversing.
Obviously you still need at least a moderately sized playspace for best results, or else it will have to compensate harder.

Yeah, that would only work by forcing your playspace to counter turn when you turn, which would result in your guardian space to mismatch reality.

I don't know of any circumstances that could allow the chaperone to misalign as long as you're running the latest version and didn't turn off "Adjust Chaperone" in the offsets tab
if there's a way for it to misalign I'd really like to know and fix it

Is there a button-combo to reset to the default position after using the space drag? I couldnt find anyting. I mean it like on the other playspacemover where you press both grips and it returns to the default position

You can set any binding you want in the SteamVR bindings, on the latest version that's the button on the bottom left with a little hand icon that says "Bindings" Make a binding however you'd like for the action "Reset Offsets" in the Motion section of the bindings

no problem 😁 if you want to do a button combo you can set up a chord. I think googling "SteamVR input chords" or something would give you results on how to set them up. Basically you add an instance of whatever phyiscal input you want and leave it empty, then open the chords interface I think a button on the bottom, and add the phyiscal inputs that are simultanously needed, then choose what action is activated when all the phyiscal inputs are active. But yeah @wary hollow make sure you didn't download the old matzman version (2.5) or make sure you're not still running any other old version. The current version is 4.0.1

Check in vr what the listed version is too, should be on the bottom right. Just in case you have two instances running, that can happen if you had upgraded recently from the old 2.5. If the issue persists we have a discord you can join for troubleshooting, I can link you in DM if you'd like. To fully troubleshoot I'd need to see your logs and know your HMD and also exactly what you were trying to do too, I didn't see the first half of your conversation so I'm not exactly sure which feature you were trying to use (but none should misalign the chaperone)
