People will always do the minimum needed to make their avatars “quest compatible”. Or rather, do the minimum necessary to let the android build upload and allow it to be seen on quest via \some setting. That means, right now; even if you go to a quest-only world, you either A.) still can’t see the avatars or B.) force-enable them and lag to death.
And of course if it’s a crossplay world it will only be PC users with avatars that don’t even have a quest blueprint.
But in reality, all your friends will be in a world with only a PC blueprint and you can’t join anyway.
That sums up my quest experience

The thing that makes the Rating system so difficult is what you can and can't count and when you can count it. It's why light count, and particle count, and mesh count and all that are so difficult when it comes to situations where not everything is active at once but only shown during animations.
But those bones are expensive!
It does need to be rated harshly if they are high.

Well there are 2 ways to go about it: You either go in VRChat and search in Avatar Worlds, or make one yourself by using Zbrush, Blender and Unity.

So in safety there is a button called performance options, under the avatar perf thing there is a click thing that either says very poor, poor, or medium, set it to poor and you can see everything

Something weird I just came across. A friend had me blocked. After leaving and rejoining my FPS tanked to 10-20 FPS. If they left the world it'd go back to normal. If I went to a different world, without them, my FPS was normal. I suppose this is a bug? I cleared my cache, updated drivers, etc. Still happened. Has anyone else come across this issue?

also i just discovered something about batteries.
wmr controllers work much better with slightly higher voltage. normal rechargeables are 1.2V and cause wmr tracking problems. using 1.6v batteries improve tracking and battery life immensely.
those same 1.6v batteries in rift S controllers mess with the tracking for rift S, and normal rechargables work better for those ones

I can only compare Rift DK2, Rift, and Quest, rift feels comfortable I can game for 6+ hours and not feel tired, Quest gets heavy on my face after an hour and a half or so because it’s front-heavy, just like the Rift DK2, not exactly a problem because that’s around the time your battery is going to run out, but it’s not a comfortable time, you wear a rift, but quest wears you.
