so I know this probably isn't the best channel to ask in, but I don't know where else I could ask really. anyone else experienced issues lately where the image in the HMD would just freeze, but VR itself is still working, like vrchat for instance is still running fine on the desktop, tracking is working and all, it's just the image in the headset that's frozen and I need to restart steamvr to fix it?
I feel like this only started happening after I updated the firmware on my Vive HMD, lighthouses and the Index Controllers

That happened to me before but it was when I was toying with PSVR on PC
It only happened when the driver crashed, a restart solved it but it only happened the one time.

In your case, try uninstalling SteamVR and making sure the folder in steam is actually gone, then try installing it from scratch.

If that doesn't work, try removing your headset software and drivers, ensure they're gone from the steam folder as well as the drivers being removed from device manager and restart your computer. Then setup the headset again as if it were new.

Framerate is critical for VR and having the window larger and using shadowplay would both reduce performance (which is already borderline in many instances) so I don't think that's really going to work.
Shame Shadowplay can't record the eye vision.

Best way to go then is just practice. Doing a full model a day is a good one to do. And when I say a full model, I mean something reasonable.
What I did was each day I'd pick some object from around the house and model, texture & render it that day.
Even if the result was terrible I learned something and improved on what I knew for the next time.

That's because the X20 and below model cards are basically glorified HDMI ports.
The iGPU in my other CPU is around the performance of a GTX 760 I believe, so they can be decent enough at times.

It's clear but still quieter than most people. And upping the gain just makes it pick up on noise more.
This is why I am aggravated haha. Been job searching so I can own up and buy a new mic but for the time being I just want to find ways to make it work.
I get really peeved out by my mic quality in game. Tried everything from compression to eq, even RMS leveling to get some decent harmonics for added loudness but nothing makes it clean at that point. Denoisers wont do what I need them to.

There's been too many cases of people trying to spread names of people who turn out to be innocent. And the frying GPU thing is misinformation that can't happen unless there's a hardware fault with your GPU that is preventing the safety from working. The best way you can help is to report it so we can deal with the root of the problem

Now to actually go back on topic of the channel: Ya all know those portals to other worlds that are pre-placed in the world right? What instance do I end up being in if I use them? Random public? Or does it depend on the instance I was in before? If all people from one world use such a portal will they end up in the same instance in the other world?
