Anyone knows how I could speed up the loading times for menus? Every time I go into VRChat, I gotta wait like 5-10 minutes for me to be able to go into a world... I've had these loading time issues with my old PC and I blamed it on that but it happens on my new PC as well. I got a 100k connection as well and I'm connected via cable directly to the router. Anything else I could try?

For facial expressions, you duplicate the model, press new animation, set the shapekeys, duplicate them so they're on the first 2 frames, put them into a duplicate of the override found in the SDK, attatch it to the avatar and upload

I would like to share with all of you that I had a really neat experience tonight. I struggle as a social outcast and often times I’m the wallflower of a situation, only sitting on the sidelines and never being able to have very many conversations. I turned to VRchat and found some guy who gave me some advice, showed me around, met me up with the right group of people and I genuinely had fun. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I was so much of a wallflower. 😃

Yeah, it does. Sometimes Post FX transfers wrongly between worlds.

Sometimes it manifests as doubled-up and super excessive bloom that flickers a lot. Sometimes the color grading is missing.

A game restart is the only way to fix it.

The 20XX series use a new technology (look up battlefield RTX) to understand what it does.
Edit: Between different series the specs do vary a low. A 1060 is worse then a 2060 but a 1080 is better then a 2060 for example.

As I understand it, the rift only actually requires 2 3.0 USB ports, although it does need three USB ports total, and recommend 3 3.0 ports, But you can get by with only two just fine and leave the second sensor with only a 2.0 port

Optimizing your avatars ain't difficult. As few materials as possible, no DB/cloth if possible, not using terrible shaders, etc.

Vrchat is an exception with how things work

Also optimization can only go so far, when the game mainly attaches to one core. Once it uses the other cores proficiently then optimization will work entirely.

That's really just a patch that isn't always working, if it was done too.

Last year we had a party for some friends and in one instance had about 40 people or so and only those on absolute potatoes had problems.
It's a mix of avatars and world optimization, and just the state of the VRC client at the moment in time.

For me sometimes when I play, my steamVR encounters a critical error and then it does not want to start up properly (always showing some error) until I manually close the steamVR tasks in taskmanager its so annoying..

stress test for like 100+ people to an instance. this type of thing would be incredible in vrchat, i always felt that the experience is disconnected and even empty at times when you can only have 10'ish people to an instance before unbearable lag

They probably also have some proximity based optimizations, so the further away the less a priority that user's data is to be rendered.
