the issue is VRChat is a CPU bound game that can only use one core, so having a CPU that isn't that great will really affect your performance

When getting a pc, your cpu must not drop that far under your GPU. Games that use that much GPU power will require alot of CPU power aswel. And in games there are no CPU settings to improve performance, just graphics settings. Pro tip: prioritize having a good CPU before a good GPU.

CPUs bassically work like this: each generation is a set of current years version of low end and high end. Gen 3 has its own version of low and high end, and gen 9 does aswell. So that means Gen 3s high end can be equivalent or better than Gen 9s Low end.

Depends on what you want. Rift: comes with built in quality headphones and microphone, best controllers on market. Vive: best out of box tracking, as with oculus you have to buy an extra sensor to match up to vives tracking. Has the ability to do full body tracking with not-included expensive sensors.

Apple is like consoles. They are extreme simplification. People like simple things, to an huge extant. If it can be easier to use while losing functionality people will take it. the engoines RPM is the clock rate and the gearbox the IPC power with the lowest gear beeing bad IPC
If you rev the engine to red but are on gear 1 you wont go fast at all but on the 6th gear you easily are faster with just a bit above 1k RPM

Still seem to be getting performance issues when there's more than 5-10 people in a room. Never had any performance issues before the cameras were added. Starting to get to the point where it's not even worth trying to play now lol

The new camera features are great and all but it would be nice if the focus was on getting the game in working order before adding new features and systems to it. There's no reason at all I should be loading lopped constantly on worlds and have to restart my game to MAYBE get into the world I was trying to get in originally, in a game that is not at all complex compared to literally any of the other hundreds of games I can run fine. There is nothing wrong with my PC build and I go well over the minimum system requirements for this game. Along with that random bugs like being booted back to your home world without anyone having kicked you from the world you were in, losing the ability to hear audio on your avatars randomly, and all the easy exploits and hacks that make going to public worlds such a risk is just ridiculous. Please, just focus on fixing what you already have laid out before adding onto it. You don't build something on broken foundation, it just doesn't work.

Sadly im pretty sure optimization is pretty hard to do. Alot of advanced code and pretty much reworking Unity may have to be done. And then again why put in A TON of time optimizing a game that within a year or so is gonna change so much that the previous work optimizing has become outdated and useless.

Majority of the people I normally hang out w/ in VRChat have also been having similar issues as me. Had no issues with the 10 of us hanging out in a private room together prior to the camera update. Afterwards, we all have been dropping under 30fps constantly. I just hope it gets solved soon cuz I don't want the Xenoblade squad to die off. :[
