Has anyone done full body tracking with valve index 1.0 base stations or only 2.0?

And what trackers did you use?

To my knowledge I don't believe either base station matters, 2.0s support farther distance as for what I'm aware of, really depends on your size of your playspace but I assume the function will be the same

As for Trackers I'd get vive tracker 3.0s since tundra's sell out

about my horrible VR lag problem. some days later after testing and trying nothing worked but then it suddenly one day just wasnt a problem. then another day and it was back. once it starts or doesnt it doesnt suddenly appear during use. then I restarted my PC a couple of times and it went away. seems random when it will happen and seems restarting PC until it works is one way to do it. but I have no idea why it happens and it's scary 😓 but at least now I know it can work and how to make it work, just dont know if it's a consistent method.

and I did a stress test. ran Alyx at ultra, had music playing, Word open, SteamVR overlays, OBS recording, three monitors with TV showing VR display, wireless mic and FBT on. zero lag. so when it works it works great.

Im using Oculus Rift and got 1080 Ti. this has never been an issue but happened after both SteamVR and Meta software updated.

I recall there being some sort of conversation from a few devs I knew that discussed the possibility of putting players in a station and doing something that forces their avatar back to the original position but I never understood it and I don’t think they ever tried 😢

Also the reason people like goloco so much is because of how much of a quality of life thing it is, vrchat could work with Franada and implement their own pose and locomotion system that is independent of avatars, but that won't stop people from complaining, they will just find something else to complain about

its the haptics. Its in the settings in both oculus and should be in the vrc settings too.

there is no setting there to turn off haptics for when you make a fist/use the triggers without grabbing stuff. that only happens is you run VRC via Oculus and not SteamVR. I wanna turn it off with SteamVR.

how does a recorded sounds from mic different from vrchat? is vrchat pulling the sound from mic differently?

There use to be a thing where you choose hear your own voice in a world but then it stopped working

I dont know how it works technically but if you want to know how people hear you you can't rely on just recording the mic because it goes through VRC first. maybe it sounds exactly the same but if something is different or wrong with VRC you wont know it.
