For the most part, each "community" has their own places to hang out

Furries will be with furries, in furry worlds. There's always mirror dwellers who are usually pretty chill. People in murder mystery are usually quite chill but it's very hit or miss

with regards to vrchat, is there any point in having a lot of vram on a less powerful card? For example, there is the titan rtx that is a little faster than a 2080 ti but with 24gb of vram. it is significantly slower than a 3090 though. I'm kind of wondering if it will come to a crawl before it even gets close to filling the vram. Assume system ram, cpu, etc everything else is fine.

well I think some of it depends on what you do in vrchat. For example, I've noticed that lower frames is much more acceptable for standing around and talking to folks vs riding around in planes/cars/jetskis etc. If you go to club worlds you can easily have 80+ people in there and lots of those folks have especially resource heavy avatars even though they ask you not to use "very poor" at the gate

Does 3090 support av1 codec if not get 4090, quest 3 benefits from that if you use virtual desktop, also the ram get 64 as you can see the usage is crazy in fbt heaven it uses 39gb of my ram and all the 12gb on my vram

Hvec and 264 are old the quest 3 supports av1

Hey Quest users! Any advice on making Quest Link run smoother? My PC worked fine with the index, I'm unsure why it couldn't handle the Quest 3 PC link even wired ... It works smoothly until I try to run VRChat. I have the cable that also plugs into the wall. USB 3.0 port.

Hello anyone know how to fix VR Chat not loading up I have a friend who can't load Vr chat on his steam for some reason he doesn't have a VR Headset but you can load through steam and when he tries to load nothing happens need help.

is it normal to get anti cheat errors at random? ususaly first time i start the game i get one, sometimes the 2nd, once im in the game though its rock solid and i have no issues and can play for hours. Note im on linux.

interesting you mention glibc because i could not use unity 2022 to upload my current avatar i had to use 2019 for the reason openSUSE 15.5 has glibc 2.31 not 2.33

NVK will eventually become our savior for good open source Nvidia drivers, we already have it running monado

But until it gets faster I'm thankful monado works with proprietary drivers now, and pretty well too

open source nvidia drivers were always terrible in my experience

but there was no need for them as you can just install the official ones
