anyone know anything about why my other set of Oculus Rift controllers have a stronger rumble? it's annoying and makes a sound. they are less worn so I wanted to start using them instead. and sell the older ones. wow, now I know why it's been hard to get the battery covers on sometimes. the magnets have come off on my older controllers. on one the bottom one and on one the top one. it doesnt look broken off, just like it slid off. so it's been harder to line them up. I've been so confused. but this cant be making the rumble weaker and mean that Rift rumble is supposed to be that super intense... it would be the opposite if anything.

Can something be done about the https://vrchat.com/home/groups and how it downloads 170 MBs of images which is INSANE for a website with just text and small thumbnails? It can destroy your mobile internet data limits.

It downloads all group banners in their original resolution (thousands of pixels in a single dimension and couple of MBs per image) even tho they're displayed in small elements. Same for some of the friend thumbnails in the right wing.

For me I trained myself to feel it. First, close your eyes and put your finger just over your nose, but don’t touch it. Can you feel it? The weird feeling of anticipation on your nose? Then just do that constantly for a while until you can make yourself feel that feeling on command: Then replicate the feeling every time someone touches you on vr (start small with like headpats and work up to the rest). And bam, eventually your brain will keep doing it subconsciously because you taught it to.

The pug does not have alot of worlds and theres always 2 group worlds that has very large numbers of players
but you can't be there since you will just get kicked and banned...

For VRChat, absolutely. Video Memory (VRAM) is used by the game engine to render Textures so that you can see them. If you run out of VRAM due to excessive Textures being rendered from like 40-80 Avatars in the same instance, it begins to offload into your computers RAM (which is slower than your video card’s memory), causing performance to seriously tank.

TL;DR the more VRAM you have, the better.

the mio3io vs jarnefeldt drama about the Shinra model license keeps going. I think I finally understood the root of the issue:

The problem is mio3io's license basically gives him free reign to cancel anyone's models (clothes for shinra) at any time he wants. And he justifies this as saying "I allow sales I just don't want people to abuse it or use them for NSFW", but since the license says what it says, he can change his mind at any time and just cancel everything or sue people or whatever.

So jarnefeldt after talking to him and mio3io said he doesn't want to change the terms because it's for his own protection, is deleting his stuff, along with a bunch of people who also make clothes for other people's models.

Supporters agree that if mio3io wants to be friendly to creators he should change the license.

Inside VRChat, under settings, there is an option to clear your cache data from your Q2, you can do this in game at any time and clearing the cache can significantly improve load times if your storage is completely overloaded as it is simultaneously deleting data of old worlds and loading a new one. Hope this helps! 🙂
