About situations like this I've been developing an application that tracks your playtime if you aren't using steam, like for quest users though it's not finished yet and I'm honestly quite slow especially being the only one working on it. Sadly it would still require a pc but it would be more convenient for people who have any sort of pc such as a laptop for example that isn't powerful enough to run vr. Some people don't play vrchat via steam, they play using their standalone oculus quest which doesn't provide a way to track playtime

The way I'm developing it, it doesn't require any modification of clients or headset, it uses a mixture of vrchat's rest api and their websockets

It will require login information to get authentication information to make requests and such but if the person isn't comfortable doing that they can just make an alt account and friend their main account (friending main account is required otherwise the api always just returns offline states) since the application would be capable of tracking friend playtime too.

I get that not everyone has a PC powerful enough for PCVR stuff, but if you're going to go this far why not just use airlink? A friend of mine was able to run this game on a laptop from 2011, if you lean real hard into performance and don't view every avatar that walks into the room, you should be able to run it with a decent frame rate

If you don't have a stable enough connection for airlink, there's also always the link cable, which comes with every quest shipped by meta last I checked

Okay so what I can conclude on this ordeal is that in the most honest way possible you’re probably just going to have to deal with it. I lost my account with at least 70 uploaded avatars due to the same thing. Make a new account start from scratch that’s the only fix I found.

So basically the main reason you see all these revealing female models is because of rippers for the most part they rip the avatars base and then just upload it again now all these default bases dont come with actual clothing as they are meant for 3D modelers to work with to create either their own clothes for that model base or create their own full on avatar of that model some people go a step further and do everything from scratch base and all

now you also have people who get the base but have very little blender and unity knowledge so they use simple premade assets for that base which most cases are easy quick to create clothing assets hence being like a bikini top or bottom to put it in perspective to create your own model from scratch thats properly thought out and well planned can take a couple months to do depending on detail and extras you want added most people dont want to spend that time or cant dedicate that time to doing That hence why their either buy an avatar from somewhere or just half ass it to have their own personal one

As for development progress, I can't say. It's up to the VRChat devs.

CVR tends to run better because the game's playerbase is a tiny fraction of VRChat's - and of the people that are playing CVR, they're probably going to be a bit more technically inclined, so optimized UGC would be more common

add more players to CVR, and you'll get the exact same issues VRChat has faced in the past, and currently

heck, their servers went down when a couple ~hundred or so people moved over, just like VRChat commonly did in early 2021 as it adjusted to it's newfound player count

That's what I feel is going to be CVR's ultimate demise, because it's a smaller game and people are starting to flock over to it, it'll eventually just be VRC 2
