Here's the thing, right? Be mad or happy about EAC added to the game for literally any reason, it really doesn't matter that much. But here's ultimately what's gonna go down:

1. the people who don't want EAC on their system will leave VRChat for something else.
2. Malicious people will bypass EAC and continue to cause problems, further driving people away.
3. All the little kids and gremlins who only know they like VRChat will stick with VRChat, eventually making them the majority playerbase.
4. Once the dust settles, those who didn't care will likely eventually leave VRChat for another VR platform they consider to be more 'mature' and less filled with shrieking children.
5. Regardless of what VRChat does after all that, people will likely have already settled into other platforms. There is no recovering that community unless those other platforms screw up royally.
