An attempt at a relight of the Reflections scene. I relied on emissives and volumetric fog to fill the interior space with two external spot lights at either exits as the primary and secondary lights. Inspiration for the palette was drawn from The Dark Knight & Dark Knight Rises.

My latest sequencer piece shot on a 3090. I tried using the new volumetric clouds on this one, with 0 timeslice finally allowing moving clouds visible in reflections. The start map sequence is world position offset using sine and sphere mask on some simple city greeble geometry. You also need to adjust the WPO shadow distance to take a shot from up in the sky. Your images are way too big for a website and I'm not sure where you host it, but it's one of the slowest loading websites I've been to in a long while and it's mostly the images (7 over 1MB... 1 of them is over 23MB)... otherwise they look nice after loading in.
I recommend reducing their resolution down to 72 pixels/inch and perhaps their sizes to match where you're placing them on the page. You can show a larger image when they click on them.... but still keep the resolution down unless you offer a download.

Yeah it was also slowish on my end, same connection. So it's def a good suggestion to get the load time lower. Even on slower connections these few images shouldn't load that long.
I never mocked them, us internet is just slow, even when high speed is considered to be around 25 mb

FYI, I get over 500 mb, which is higher than most... without jumping into fiber which isn’t available in my area yet. However, it doesn’t matter because websites shouldn’t have many MB sized images on the main page.... doesn’t matter what your speed is.... 10, 25, 500+... it’s still super slow relative to what it should be.

This is an evolution of my previous stylized environment and meant as a companion. I focused on improving the foliage creation pipeline and trying new material tricks in Unreal Engine. Doodled this cave entrance using only Megascans. Took around 15 minutes between how good Lumen is and quixel bridge!! This is waaaay too much fun :)) All 8k textures and nanite except foliage. Foliage is classic static mesh, and had to disable influence indirect light otherwise they worked as lightbulbs O_o

just gonna say, love the layout, love the look, but if i see someone putting "credits" on an asset store I am never gonna buy into it. As a customer that just adds an additional process to my buying decision. Why would I want to go through this?
I like it so far but in the video i see a shit ton of camera hard bumping. Might be bcs of the high res surface but you should showcase that you can smooth out "rough" surfaces too (if you can do this rn) 🙂

With our blocking detection, we can tap into direct blocking distance and use it for IK! this way we can do procedural blocking based on a single channel.. so for example when a zombie walks close to us, we want to still be able to aim and fire, but not stick the gun inside the enemy body ;)

Neon Giant has released The Ascent yesterday. My studio - Salty Panda Studios - worked on it for almost 2 years, creating all sorts of gameplay elements, as well as large parts of the UI. Code, not graphics. This includes:
- Almost all Abilities
- Almost all UI
- Some of the Weapons
- Projectiles and Explosions
- Loot System
- Some Cutscene Management
- and a lot more smaller things that would be too much to post.

The game looks cool and the trailer is good, but the page seems a little generic and honestly i cant find the strengths of your game and what would make me wanna buy it from just the description. The whole first sentence from the "Be your own first employee" section is just what we would expect from any management game, same goes for the "Learn to delegate", it's just stating the obvious and doesn't seem unique enough to grab the atention of a player. Also adding images to the description to break up the wall of text. Try getting more feedback from different people, that might be just my impression and other people could find it ok for a steam page.

To be clear - this is huge. The inventory is savegame/multiplayer ready. Actor based. Immune to memory leaks, and doesn't force you down to use certain data style /structure / table. Fungible Items are persistent with their states and can got actions and functions run on them while in inventory (ie. reload), while non-fungible items are being reduced in actors numbers to stack them as tightly as possible. It has capability of understanding volumes, weight and slots, however limiting them is on your side. Many functions we decided to drop being too much game specific, but added tools and functions that can be easily and fast used to decide ownership, state, and permissions for items and actions.
A lot of examples are coming - including a new playlist for inventory examples only.
Set of c++ components to solve common gameplay problems and manage multiplayer features.
Version 3.0.0 brings also this debugging tool!
