Managed to remove the intake manifold. Thats what the blue shop towel is over top of, its meant to prevent foreign debris from entering the engine. Dunno about the fibers from it though... They're very small and tough and i dunno if they'll get in there. Engines are just air pumps. Taking off the intake manifold is kind of like opening a reactor core. oil and internals are all exposed... been a bit worried about this all night. Had to call it quits. Figured out i have had the stomach flu.. explains a lot. Much better now

thats sorta how my Mio model came to be. I wanted a really good looking and detailed model of my fav character and I knew the only way I'd get such a thing was to do it myself and so I forced myself to learn and do it from scratch... and sometimes thats just how these things come about, which is to simply do it yourself if you have the time and passion to do so, heh

I couldnt get myself to, I wanted mine to be 100% created, and owned, by me
without relying on anyone else's parts basically
which is very much unlike how most western MMDers are, as Im sure you know haha... but for me, i wanted mine to be purely originally made yah (other than the source material of course)
another reason was just to demonstrate that a western modeler can be just as good as a japanese modeler too, if not better (for anime MMD models, that is)
besides, now that Ive done so... Mio is my base model for future models, pretty much
or at least she will be once im done with the UE4 conversion process, and making her into a clean slate model

Well, I can say myself that I go further when it comes to modifying base compared to western MMDers. Though granted my purpose is to make original characters for original game project, not just MMD tomfoolery

cause when I started it was purely just for MMD and I had never touched UE4 at the time, nor did I think i'd be using it a few years after heh
but in retrospect im glad it worked out in that order, cause now I have my own model to branch off of without worrying about having to credit anyone else heh

Personally I found MMD's animating tools to be super unintuitive, compared to Blender or UE4's Sequencer
