I'm enjoying Elden Ring even with the launch issue of it running like dogdoo on the pc. I dont really like Dark Souls, but I do like the genre. Nioh 2 is my fave one. But this game being open world, not showing you where to go and letting you out appeals to me because its like a game of discovery, including the monster movesets, but mostly in regards to the areas. It's not been that hard so far and I've fought 3 bosses. One shot two of them and did the other in 2 tries.

Well in terms of open world wise, yeah its similar. But without all the talking to people. You get some dialogue here and there when you meet the occassional NPC but there aren't as many as in BOTW. So it feels more isolated, like you are on the journey of discovery on your own without any guidance or "go here" missions

I got to use the MetaHuman Lighting Preset, spotting more flaws with my Control Rig setup, discovered new things about Copy Pose From Mesh, and refining my materials (which uses anime shading model by engine mods)

Yeah everyone starts somewhere, heh. In my own experience half of it is tutorials and visual references but the other half is simply just experimenting and learning by doing... trial and error, all that. Thats how I was able to learn modeling for Blender anyway, and then later on UE4

my main issue with max was, no one really taught topology issues in it, i had to watch other softwares tuts to get those, so i just shifted to blender

Oh yeah, that was another reason I went with Blender as well. More tutorials and guides, especially for anime styled character modeling at least for my purposes lol... I even had to follow Japanese tutorials which was a bit tricky! Its all about the motivation and determination, afterall

The first main character for my game, Nala Ishikawa, is based on Chihaya Kisaragi (except more busty, at 87 cm). Troubled past, deterministic personality, and so on. Her class is Warrior, touting smaller swords and sub machine guns.
The third one, Annisa Scarlett, influenced by Makoto Kikuchi (though with bust of 72 cm). Raised like a boy, trying to be feminine, have ability in martial arts. Her class is Fighter, either fighting bare handed or using small handguns

There's a huge power gap between her and the hero, but I think I can make it work if the hero learns to adapt as he goes; plus the villainess doesn't want to kill him, just either seduce or torture him until he submits to her because she's madly in love with him

well like I said, that model took me 2 years of both working on her and trying to learn as I go... both at the same time, but I was able to do it by pushing and never giving up. same with drawing, I kept doing it over and over for like 6 years until I was able to do anything I was happy with lol
