The settings menu is a copy paste from marketplace, somehow got a lot of positive reviews, basically you complete the game by luck and no skill given the navmesh luck you have.
Also if you open a double menu the cursor gets gone, you get no sense achievements you shouldn't, "like don't touch any of the portals and complete the level in one trial" tried it 5 times and touched all the portals though.
And then at some point you get perks but another bug don't let you equip these so you cannot pass the next level or the rest of ones you paid for π

Learn blueprinting, level design, 3d modeling. I'm already having some experience with ue4 and modeling but really working a job drains me mentally and physically to do anything else. I have been working with the engine for 4 years, and still have not made a dollar. keep your job, work on this on the side. Don't instantly think your going to make money. That's bad to do. Don't think of unreal engine as a way to make money, think of it as a way to express your artistic side. Using the engine is not about making money, and i can almost guarantee you wont make a good game on your first few projects. You need to spend time and learn everything, understand everything.

I think u understood me wrong. I want to take break from working and spend all year just learning ue4 to kind of deepen the knowledge so i can be eventually hired somwhere. I know that being solodev is hard, cause of storyline, modeling, music, art and bugfixing so im putting that as a side dream. My main goal is to be so proficient with the engine that i can just land job in the engine eventually. And just like you've said im doing it also mainly to do what brings me joy. year ago i had a month break from work and i sat for 12 hrs everyday modeling, level designing, combining it all in the engine, it was such a fun thing to do

Consider a few places to work at that overlap the same interests you like. Better than thinking "with these skills, i will get a job at a place" - what is that place? Be specific. Train yourself for those places. And stick to something first, before generalizing. If you want to have fun with the engine, no one will stop you. If you're driven to get hired somewhere, you need to narrow down what it is you will do and where. Its better than assuming that when your "good enough" you can get hired.

but i would say the complicated part is writing logic that needs to consider each player's viewpoint/machine along with server/client distinctions - its trickier when things have to be sent around to all computers, but the code you make cannot be separate from that
