So after testing, custom stencil was kinda inconclusive. The basic sorting thing did work, and I do benefit from backface culling. However now there's no way for the base pass colour w/ masked opacity to get through, and I suspected that would happen.

Selective scene capture + render target would be the easier way, but it's stupidly expensive on performance, even with C++ ticking.

you can do some really cool stuff like those impossible paintings
with pixel depth u can flip perspective with masks, that cant be done with wpo

Fluid Ninja honestly look cool, but heard the creator rising up the prices and always wanted to skip discounts as much as possible.
So I went ahead and making my own fluid sim myself. Not going to be as sophisticated as Fluid Ninja, but should fulfill my needs.
I think I might better ended up learning more HLSL and getting compute shader to work on UE4 myself.

consoles tend to balance depending on requirements, if a game needs 8-10-12 it'll use that much
PCs tend to be overspecced in comparison because consoles can more efficiently manage the memory being a shared pool

If you using new firefox and found out it creates over 25 content processes every time eats 6gb ram out of nowhere and the content process limit option is gone

My guess would be just be wheels + PID controller to keep it stable along roll

fake it. You can either just do your own physics/animation solution or if you are using physx you can create a 4 wheel vehicle and put the two front and back wheels close together so you can't tell. It isn't the best solution as it can cause physics bugs on rough terrain

I haven't done it with Chaos but the vehicles are almost identical, however I think it supports 2wheels. Dont quote me on it. Another solution would be to actually make a motorcycle wheel from scratch. Being that they are unique in terms of the tyres and how they work, its an interesting project I've wanted to take on for a few years but never got around to.

You know car industry just like to overcharge. The other day I searched for an 20y old part, a potentiometer for the heater, it was $100.
That thing is literally a plastic with a bit of metal on the size of a thumb. If you have 3d printer you can print it, then insert some metal pins in it.
Similar parts for a pcb cost say $1 or so.

NvE had also totally screwed DPI. On installing a driver, the buttons were hidden, outside an unresizable window. Nor navigable.
Not to mention, I never used its game tunings, or any other features apart from driver update. But it insisted on running non-stop anyway.

I remember how much buzz was around Mudbox before Autodesk bought it, now its like crickets. If I were gonna do 3d modelling in VR Id use something like Gravity Sketch and for painting ArmourPaints going well, the only one I really cant entirely replace is Designer but in all honesty I want to move to a proper 3d pipeline anyways which is why Blenders GeoNodes look great or Houdini... or both
but even then benefits of other applications isnt just with the app itself but the integrations, what I really need is less individual windows and more integrations with Unreal Engine
the cost of pipelining back and forth is high, especially in maintaining pipelines where cost of integrations is lower for the end user
