The first 5950x fried itself, I switched back to the i9 while I was waiting for a new one to arrive, it didn't ask me for a new key

its a big black box what validation requests are accepted or rejected
seems like often its fairly accepted for large hardware changes, but then after you validate both variants, it could easily just accept those changes after those two pieces of hardware have been validated on the key
i know its still hash based so they dont have a lot of detail, but they can do whatever they want for each validation and it could change day to day ๐

Well TBH the requirement for KVM is huge. I mean, to get the most out of the KVM, one also had to use CPU and GPU pinning, so only the KVM guest has the access to those and not the Linux host.

first you need to find how to get it (and what to get)... then you fill in a form, check a bunch of boxes... and you get an email to download it. Then you're presented with another confusing webpage, after you're again presented with a form where you fill in the same info you just filled to get that email
it then takes you to a page with install instructions which begins with a gpg verification command that does not work

Even if it does do proper delta versioning... I'd need to do some reesearch before I would want to be rolling with some random third-party plugin to do it.
