Rider eats through the RAM pretty quickly, which is not an annoyance for privileged users, but in times where there's not much room left, Visual Studio stole the show... for being a 32-bit application.
And VS has a free tier with minimal difference to the upper paid ones. Overall it's a win-win for low budget and small devs.
I'd rather take minor IntelliSense annoyance over Rider's paywall and ludicrous RAM usage.

It's probably more an issue of what takes the player's time. Killing one wolf is as the same as 450 on the datasheet, but if you need to burn five hours of player time to meet quota by next week you're not going to aim for a complicated questline.
I still wonder why anyone thought maps in RTS games need flavor text. 90% of the time they're symmetrical and make no sense in a any context. Let the writers pad the manual instead.

you try to get four in hand, line two up, load them back to back, line the other two up, load them... and do another set depending on the size of the mag tube
competition setups are hilarious because they have speedloaders that hold four shells, and then they have a ramp in front of the trigger guard that goes into the loading gate... so you just line the thing up, and strip four out of that loader, right into the mag

And your goal was to try and figure out where you were so that you could signal for extraction as well as destruction of some alt-history elements. At this point I go under the mentality that ideas are just a big cooking pot in your head where you mix in what you have seen before.

people do crosswords every day. Or sudoku. They love familiarity for the mundane moments. Games, at least, have a way to package them with different front facing displays. So my process is to make it look appealing to a sub-section of the gamers, or to appeal to myself as a generic gamer, and package it in a way that aesthetically pleases. The rest is all copy paste.
