Originally the map gen had a smaller role in my games, like the mines in stardew valley. But I got stalled out on the rest of the game so I wanted a simpler target, but yet again I stall out

honestly, i wouldnt worry about the milliseconds youd save by not using bp at all in your project. Imo as long as you can hit 60 fps its all worth it. And no, these plugins are highly optimised and are updated regularly, they have next to no performance impact
i have been using both these plugins and in the profiler they dont even show up in any significant way
i know its looked down upon to use bp and external plugins but to me, what matters is if it saves my time or not and doesnt negatively affect my product. If those two checkboxes are met, i dont really care what the "proper" way of doing things is. If it works, it works

the three plugins do different things, im not sure what the combo graph does (i think its new, never saw it before). The GAS Companion completely handles the ability system implementation and interactions but the attributes data must be set in cpp. Gameplay Blueprint Attributes allows you to set the attribute data in bp but you must implement the ability system yourself in cpp. Personally id recommend both, but prioritise GAS Companion before the other one

Eh, I think it originally was the idea for more privacy, cause the IPs aren't registered to any name (which I think they are for Businesses).
A lot of Providers also still provide you with an IP. Some peeps by now say it's also to ensure that there are enough IPv4 for Businesses available.
Private Contracts are often even routed through some tunneling or whatever it is called, basically using the same IP across multiple peeps.
I never really looked into that, since I have a Business contract, but I know that private peeps in Germany usually fail to host their own Game Servers (like good old CounterStrike Server) cause they can't guarantee the static ip.
Iirc my father used to set up DynDNS for that, but that's like 16 years ago.
