Then, I could restart the app and update Photoshop. PITA.
An AI would've saved me several mouse clicks in T.M.
Of course, Adobe could also fix their launcher and its sub-processes, but then I'd be expecting too much, such as reliability and quality control.
Actually, I just corrected an image of a samurai armoured dog with five legs in Fooocus.
Of course, Fooocus's model generated that image in the first place, but an outpaint edit command simply removed the extra leg perfectly.

Those processes are needed and activate by themselves when the CC app spins up, which also happens when Photoshop is opened. The problem I think lies with their updater software.
For some reason, when one of those sub-processes is opened - I don't know which... yet - the updater fails.
You'd think, but when you start updating an app, it is treated as uninstalled.
So, even if the update fails, you have to finish it successfully or you can't run the app anymore.

It's a combination of a lot of things, Deja is built around a custom agent framework
So it isn't simple system prompt and a request to the model, but multiple back and forth to build the necessary context to use for the response generation
The models are used in helping generate this meta information

I'm actually gonna try indexing the engine source soon, with my memory system it should be pretty capable to answer questions about the engine
I'm doing about 7-15 requests to the model for a single response
(thus "agent framework")
because it's doing a lot more than a simple prompt in -> response out how you would usually use a model/chatbot
if all you are using the llm for is to generate a response you aren't using it for their full potential
They have far more useful capabilities than to respond as a chatbot
Even using local models to generate datasets for training my own stuff
data cleanup, etc...
I can't really reveal every step that it does
But when a user message comes in, it has about 10 different stages it goes through before the final message is shown to the user
Couple of first stages is extracting certain information from the user message (this also utilizes the models (more than 1 model))
Center stages are responsible for querying the memory system, retrieving memories using the original user message, extracted data and generated feature vectors
The goes through optional memory reconsolidation, which can optionally request stuff from the models again
Final stages are for querying and updating personalization (which yet again can request stuff from the models when needed)
And last steps are finalizing the changes to the memory system
So Deja is more like a bunch of different systems working together to create the final response, rather than a traditional message in, response out system
response times from the models from different stages
and with all these systems feeding stuff into the context, it uses about 2-2.5k tokens just on that
So the majority of the context window goes to what different systems are giving it rather than user input or the response
The memories aren't generated by the model
The memories are entirely my custom memory system, it uses embedding models to generate feature vectors for the memories and to extract specific information from memories to make the memory query more accurate
But models aren't used in the actual query and manipulation of memories

this is the result of yesterday's efforts. the nebula thingy is just a texture i grabbed from the marketplace, the two stars are just spheres with blackbody emissive materials spinning around based on a timeline. took about 3 hours yesterday, gonna add some planets now. also maybe darken the nebula a bit, it looks too bright to me idk

You need some tiny particles - of rock, clutter, debris, burgers - in space, so it doesn't seem super empty.
Very tiny particles, so it looks like slight streaks of light as you move by, or some such effect to fill the area.

Tbf the game will take place mostly closer to the planets, right now the camera is in the "void" so it looks weird.but yes ill have to add a lot more stuff to this scene
