its much more limiting for one. the maths become a little easier in some parts but honestly your freedom shrinks as well. imo its just as hard as 3D, maybe even more for certain genres

UE had a 2D system with templates at some point in v4 but thy ditched it. Can probably still be replicated but its more a 3D game thats limited to 2D view points and 2d assets.
UEs main prob is the size imo, unity project can be 30mb or so, UE comes at 300+ minimum. Many 2D games however are small in size to fit on mobile etc, dont need most of UEs basic setup.

then you can walk through the tree and search for your healthbar thing and look at it's properties etc
