the canal was a struggle, although you could dig low enough for water to fill it, it was not reliable. Some bits of the land just randomly refused to dig sufficiently deep for some reason... but it may be something they've since changed as it's been quite a while since we played it

My Valheim experience was full of mini bases where I clear cut a forest then used all the wood to make layers upon layers of stake walls. Then I added a bunch of torches and gawd damn that place looked like a medieval battleground at night.
After I got bored of the game I totally started cheating with build supplies just to make a huge stone castle with wall and a tower with a fancy hot tub on top lol.
Valheim was a fun game and all, but it lacked a critical component of the Viking age. Raids.
The npc's attacking your base every once and a while was the closest thing but like why didn't the devs make it so a bunch of skeleton warriors arrive at your base by ship or something?

If you play as a criminal the AI cops would chase after and attempt to arrest you. If you get arrested then depending on your crime you'd either get slapped with a fine or you'd have a prison sentence and would have to actually spend x mins in a cell doing nothing lol.

IMO the best part about Cyberpunk 2077 was the way it played with your imagination. At first the game was amazing because there's so much to discover and so many huge massive buildings to explore but as time goes on it ultimately leaves you feeling cheated once you realize how much of the game world isn't playable and how repetitive the missions seem and how poor the AI reacts most of the time.
Overall I'd give it a 7/10 it was mostly fun but ended up being unintentionally funny with all the crazy bugs.
It's like no matter which starting path you choose, you always end up being some unstoppable serial killer.

Actually you can. Most infrared light is absorbed by the atmosphere, but there's a couple wavelength "gaps" that aren't absorbed. If the paint emits infrared light mostly in these wavelengths, that light will pass free through the atmosphere and not come back or warm up the air. Unless there's clouds in the way.

current bot is python, telnet is err... communications protocol similar to ssh but plain text and therefore very unsecure, alot of game servers use telnet for remote admin commands etc but in my case i have to communicate with a multimedia package

Seems like you should be able to just return a function ptr to that function from it but you will need a wrapper like ue's delegates so you can just keep calling the operator () and the wrapper calls the member function for you

@sand oxide were you good at math during your high school years? and do you think learning C/C++ was more difficult than learning math in your personal experience?

In here there is a rote-based education and no matter what I couldnt get along with math because teachers were enforcing you to memorize everything, when I learned C++ I gained some confidence so I'm thinking about re-learning high school math with my own methods
but dang since trauma is so serious I'm scared af
