Overall - it's a step in the right direction. But it still ignores the main flaws of Godot imo. Due to the way Godot is set up, they cannot provide console support. So they set up this company to help with that. Console support being one of the big criticisms of Godot. But this also opens the door for some other ways to receive funding. @sand oxide Part of the issue with Godot and funding is that Godot's finances are received through the Software Freedom Conservatory. Apparently - they have restrictions on how money can be received. So having W4 games allows them to circumvent that as well. Plus - there are a number of companies that refuse to use Godot without paid support.
