I'd say that each of the PDX titles can be difficult or easier in different respects; HOI4 might benefit from having more muscle memory for micromanagement, or having past knowledge of focus paths, decisions etc, while over on Victoria 3 you might regret not having a PhD in Economics and Sociology

I think this is my favorite path in any mod, it doesn't make much sense but the combined manpower of the Raj and Ottomans is just ridicilous. Getting to the end after this point was such a pain though the 3rd International just had a ridicilous amount of troops(and of course Kaiserredux being very slow). I wish I took a ss of the end of the playthough but I forgot cause I was so tired

The research tab shows which time you should research stuff on, I firdt focus on industry and technology before infantry equipment and then artillerh and planes. You can change this order and remove or add stuff based on your gameplay

You're trying to build up a base of construction and military production to help you fight and win. So civs let you build more, mils let you make military stuff so you can build the army and airforce, docks make ships. Other buildings do their own stuff but it's pretty intuitive if you just read.

Assess your chosen country and decide what you think you need in order to be ready for war.

Research is super important too

you want industry research first and foremost since it helps you build everything else

then you need to look at the other categories and prioritise the things that will help your military the most. If you are a naval power you need naval research, for example
