Well, in a previous version I managed to beat Germany, Italy, Hungary and Bulgaria by the end of 1940 (on ironman, so no cheating) - and given the fact the new focus tree seems a bit OP, I am wondering if it could be a possibility now as well.

The new one just takes forever to finish anything. You can complete ignore the industry tree and it is better that way, as there is so many 70 days focuses for one factory.

But you can just go and ally everyone and kill germany.

Yugo pretty much always accepts puppet, from there I invade Greece, dragging Romania in. Suppose I should justify Bulgaria at the same time.

When I got the achievement, I went for 8inf, 1aa, support arty, hospital, engi, aa, super heavy howitzer. Replaced the support AA with medium flame tank on some units when I pushed out but didn't even need it after about 6 months of war
I had ample industry, having annexed hun after puppeting them, I didn't annex austria, didn't relese slovakia until the sudetenland crisis (took the stab hit by accident)
Doctrines : GBP, Assault inf, siege arty, empty (not enough xp until in war), and grand assault

built lvl 3 forts on prague and the plains + forests around but that's it
had about 60 inf divs by war, almost entirely using guns 2

if you're ok with limited exploit, you can just train 300 2w inf, then pause the game, convert them to 50width inf/cav (anything)

guys I just noticed something the devs at paradox did that is unintitionally absolutly hilarous. If you were to train an AI on HOI4 events as its reference to everything that occured in ww2 it would be a lore master about every small little event that occured thoughout the world during those years even wild possible events, however it would have no idea the big H happened 😂 . Imagine 500 years from now HOI4 is cited as the best historical reference for the period and its missing any mention of the event so many people believe is the most important.
