I couldn't beat the USSR as the Reich before, and I would consider myself a newbie. I've now got 500 hours in HOI4. I built an SPG and adopted suitable doctrines, tried to create more encirclements, and didn't immediately go for the auto-plane approach against the USSR, and that's how I won.

These divs have supplies because it is likely a capital hub that spawns supplies from the void

Also, use the planning bonus. It's free stats, you just have to wait for it

EaW has new improved ai and it is really a struggle. Basically, the AI takes advantage of smaller combat widths, has improved tank and air designs from vanilla meta and has improved templates for offensive and defensive infantry.
