a few general rules of tank design :
if you're not using all secondary turret slots you're doing something very wrong. Modern tanks thus suck because they don't have any secondary slots
armor must always stay as riveted. Never sleep on 20% less cost
speed is up to you following your template limitations
In SP, armor is pretty much useless as AI won't be able to pierce basic mediums with mech until 1943-4
In SP hard attack is absolutely useless until 1945-6 when AI stats to make mech, even then you'll rarely encounter anything
In SP, you have enough brk stat with the chassis and radio lvl 1 only, don't bother investing into more (30-50 is enough)
Fuel drums are way too costly for their use, don't use them

Why did Paradox do this??? The paths are so damn frustrating. If you go Subjugation path, you can get Silesia and Venice But not Albania. It's also so damn slow and frustrating to play.
While the War path is more fun, but doesn't let you core Venice and doesn't give a way to actually go after your Italian claims.

also if you're a minor disregard the whole strike force/patrol thing you dont have enough ships

hoi4 is a deathstack simulator for navy. Put every single ship in a single fleet if you wish to send it into battle and make sure it's on always engage setting
only split up the submarines from the surface fleet and keep "patrols" that are here to spot and patrol for supremacy small and composed either of crappy light/heavy cruisers
