Well, I’ve been playing USA and didn’t do much unhistorical until 1941 when Japan declared war in October instead of December, but failed to take the Philippines or Guam and got capitulated in only 2 years by losing Iwo Jima and Okinawa and getting the crap beaten out of the IJN.

I don’t think it’s possible at the moment, since losing too much of their navy is part of them capitulating, and they’re REALLY bad with Navy as of late. They keep charging their subs into defended convoys or areas covered by naval air patrols and getting them sunk like absolute morons.

You want to know how many ships I sunk with Maritime Patrol Flying Boats? 87, with most of those being Japanese submarines, and most of the rest being Convoys and DDs.
