I would build land warfare facility and air facility if there isn't one, then infrastructure then civs. Then you just change civs to mills and donate civs to uk. You don't need to build civs until 1940, until 1937 should be enough

The war itself is ok, the rest of the Spanish content is horrible

For starters, terrible historical accuracy, like Azaña being from PSOE (he was from "Republican left" party) and Franco being from CEDA (???? There is literally a focus about the fusion of parties under Franco into the FET y de las JONS)

And then the content and its relation with the rest of the game happening. It really shows its age

The Spanish economic recovery didn't end until the 60s. Obviously, Spain would be unplayable should we do that, but is it necessary to nuke Spain until 1943ish? Surely with the new mechanics they should be able to do something more creative than spending 70 days to decrease the national spirit in a 5%?

If it is to ensure neutrality, then it should be just be a path in Franco's tree, not a general characteristic

I wouldnt really try to bash hoi4 for its historical accuracy. It has long moved away from being a sim but instead being a sandbox set in 1936. The world is way too complicated to even capture its essence in one game. And yea lr does seem old, but I think its still valid to play. I dont know nearly enough about the Spanish Civil War to discuss this at any length, but Franco was essentially the leader of the nationalist forces, hence was also the defacto head of state. Look at how many DLCs CK3 and EUIV would get per year vs how many HOI gets.
