If your mods aren't showing in the launcher or your mod load order fails to load please try the following:

• unsubscribe from all mods
• delete the folder Documents/paradox/HOI4/mod/
• delete the file Documents/paradox/HOI4/mods_registry.json
• delete the file Documents/paradox/HOI4/launcher-v2.sqlite
• subscribe to a few mods
• run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you

You may also need to make sure that your anti virus program lets the game and launcher through:

Consistent internet is good, but being able to process everything that's happening in the game is much more important

I'm unsure if this is the place to ask, but I've been unable to download mods for HOI4. I've tried completely clearing my paradox documents, the game installation, and all my mods, yet the mods still won't show up in the launcher when I redownload everything. yeah i tried solving it by searching online and i found that it's a really popular problem but never gets fixed, I pretty much gave up on playing online cause almost everyone uses mod . try searching online for solutions maybe you're lucky have a different problem that leads to the same bug and manage to get it working.

for anyone who was having my same problem with mods not loading on the launcher try this, it worked for me:

• unsubscribe from all mods
• delete the folder Documents/paradox/HOI4/mod/
• delete the file Documents/paradox/HOI4/mods_registry.json
• delete the file Documents/paradox/HOI4/launcher-v2.sqlite
• subscribe to a few mods
• run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you

You may also need to make sure that your anti virus program lets the game and launcher through

If they are not showing up it's because you have la resistance dlc and that changes the way you start coups and change the ideology of a country, to do it you need a spy agency and spy's with a large area of influence in the said country.

Hey are recently subscribed mods not showing up on the launcher for yall? I downloaded 10 mods today and they just wont show up in "All installed mods" or when adding mods to a playtest in "Playtest". I checked my subscriptions and im subscribed to all of them and Steam has downloaded all of them. I tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing after i got back from work and they still wont show up in the launcher. Please help me if you can ive been trying to figure this out for a total of 3.5 hours now and its very frustrating.
I've tried reloading "All installed mods" I waited an hour with the launcher opened and it was still reloading. Note: I have a good PC in terms of its speed to download and load things.

If you read the error message that is on your screen you will see that it asks you to go into Users/yourname/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron 4. Then delete or rename the file named launcher-v2.sqlite

When you'll reboot the game odds are it's gonna check the database, see it's gone and recreate it
