I got hoi4 about a week ago through Xbox Game Pass
as of yesterday both Stellaris and hoi4 stopped playing correctly
(idk if this is related to the fact that they are both Paradox or not)
what happens is when I start the game, as soon as I change anything (settings) or actually start the game (get out of the launcher) the game completely shuts down
I can then not launch the game again without re-downloading at which point it does the same thing

So I made this focus tree on a focus tree tool site (egde.hoi4modding), I exported it into the mod file and stuff, but when I go to the launcher, it acts like the mod is empty. If I remove something like the .mod video file that automatically gets added once you make a mod trough the mod tool in the launcher, it does say it has like 50 kb but it says the mod is not present on disk. if you upgrade the intel core or the ram it will run just better but eventually theres only so much you can do as it picks up dust and becomes less and less durable

Generally this happens when the game files are corrupted of you have tried to crack DLC. From my experience, verifying files doesn't fix it and a full reinstall is needed (including wiping the HOI folder in Documents)

My issue is when I run in multiplayer ( I haven't tried single player yet, so can't confirm if it happens there or not yet) even when the game is paused, I experiences random freezes. They last for a relatively short time and the game become active again.
