I need help with a problem. I also posted this in the Ask for Help channel. I am having trouble with Ironman mode. I removed all the mods from my Steam Workshop library. Turned off all the extra content. I even reinstalled the game.. I still cannot unlock achievements in Ironman mode. I have tried everything I can think of with Ironman mode. I would really like it if someone from tech support could help me with this Ironman mode problem. Any help, with Ironman mode would be great.

Hello i have 1.2K hours on the game and 800 hours on Romania i found out while playing that if you choose to have a civil war after you do the iron guard focus instead of force abdication just because you want to save the 70 days extra of an unneded focus a that debuff on consumer goods but even if you win/lose the civil war you lose the iron guard and the sentinel of the mother guard and the Iron guard is supposed to be the facist national spirit if u get that focus but u lose everything and all the manpower that romania normally had so inteaad of rewarding you winning the civil war it kinda destroys your country

if this actually gets fixed i think this will be the way to min-max romania

Hi so I got this weird problem where I cant play with ANY mods, even if i have them downloaded and in my playsets they just dont run.

Have you tried deleting the mod? If you're subscribed to the mod via Steam, try unsubscribing. If you're subscribed locally, delete it from the mods folder. Then try reinstalling the launcher again.

I have this problem with Hearts of Iron IV multiplayer: when I join a lobby, everything goes normally—we pick a country, etc.—and we start the game. On average, after 5 or 10 days into my playthrough, the game freezes and I can’t do anything 0 XD. Then, after about 3 months of play, the game resumes and I get a desync—after that, it’s either normal or it isn’t. This doesn’t happen with every host, but with most of them. I have done some further testing and it appears so that the base game without any mods or DLC does not crash, Sadly Error messages dont seem to appear. The Game just closes itself for some reason at about 56% loading progress, And when it crashes my discord becomes un-usable for some strange reason meaning i have to use Task Manager. I had been playing HOI4 without any issues for years and yesterday, while trying to play HOI4, I received the following error message:

My game worked fine for years untill I downloaded The Fire Rises mod, it crashes on startup while loading, sometimes gives me the crash reporter and sometimes just freezes and exits, and sometimes it allows me to go to the country selection map before crashing. Hey guys, my friend and I are trying to play Multiplayer on Steam but we keep getting this weird freeze issue. Pretty much right after we start (1 in-game hour), whoever is the client completely freezes. Time stops moving and buttons stop working for them, but the host can keep playing normally without any disconnect message (no error massage what so ever).

In all the recent patches, whenever I hit Win+Shift+S for a screenshot, the screen shifts to the right, before allowing the shot to be taken.

If I select my 2nd monitor the screen doesn't shift, but I light lose the tooltip that Im trying to capture.

Hey guys I've been facing a problem for a couple weeks now. I run Hearts of Iron IV on my Linux ubuntu system, and I play it with Road to 56, player led peace conference and coring button. I keep crashing frequently during singleplayer games, but I face no problem during multiplayer games. I've tried verifying my files but I just can't seem to find the solution.. Is your documents folder on one drive? I know that can cause issues. Else did you make sure when uninstalling the game you deleted the files in the documents as well as the paradox files in the Appdata folder? That's at least something I can recommend for a full clean reinstall. Tho you'll lose all your saves, so Back them up If you find any worth keeping.

To verify your file integrity on Steam, right click the game in your Library, and go to Properties. In the Menu that pops up, select LOCAL FILES and there should be a button that you can select named VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES.

That sounds like a graphics issue for some reason for the launcher

To fix a black, flashing Paradox launcher for HOI4, uninstall "Paradox Launcher v2" via Windows Add/Remove Programs, then delete the launcher folders in %localappdata%/Programs/Paradox Interactive/ and %appdata%/Paradox Interactive/. Finally, verify integrity of game files in Steam to reinstall a fresh launcher.

if someone wants to join without, they'll still get access to all content the Host has, but if the host doesn't have a DLC and someone with it joins, no one will be able to use it

You can try a different host or go back to an earlier save (if you have one), else the save might be corrupted and can no longer be played in MP. In the future try to reduce rehosts and hotjoin lobbies. If it's always the same date it can also be an event causing it.

There is some special file I forgot the format of where basically all information on your mods is stored. You can probably do it there. I used it once to remove an invisible mod bricking another with the same name. If you Google it you can find it quickly I bet.

Just make a copy of that file before, bc you can mess up your launcher with it :)

Whenever I try to play with one specific friend in multiplayer, he will not progress past the first day.
