I have an issue where when playing any mod, the names are changed to what they aren't supposed to be. For example in Great War Redux, the Ottoman Empire has been renamed to Turkey. Go into your paradox games folder then hearts of iron 4 save anything you need and then delete anything from that folder, go back to steam and verify the game files it will redownload the files and the version will be back to normal, that's what I did

a question about performance. before 1.15 i was on 1.4.8 and with Expert AI(and nothing else apart from spot optimization and better mechanics : optimization and fps map) and i was able to go till 1941 without much performance issues. but now with 1.15 + gotterdamerung i can barely make it to 1940 with each day taking 5-6 seconds to pass.

I have been having a problem with mods where the names of nations are changed. A common example is puppets of a nation, say German puppet states of Belgium and Poland in Kaiserreich would be renamed to 'German Poland' or 'German Belgium' instead of 'Kingdom of Poland' and 'Flanders-Wallonia'. you can use some commands if you didn't turn on ironman mode:
debug_smooth -> make more pressure to CPU and make the time faster but make your map laggy
deleteallunits -> delete all divisions and i don't suggest because make your game unbalanced
weather -> disable the weather graphics
and you can annex south america and useless countries. each country has some processing like focus tree and research technologies and the smaller the number of countries, the smaller the number of these processes

weather command doesn't disable weather graphics, it also disables weather effects and mechanics

disabling weather will make it so air units are OP, and there's no sense of challenge on the eastern front or other winter areas, for starters.

Typing the command again disables it, so you can just pause, enable decision.nochecks, take the decision you want, disable it and then continue playing. The same also applies to focus.nochecks, focus.ignoreprerequisites, focus.instantcomplete, instantconstruction (or just ic), and probably quite a bunch more which also affect ai.

Please help! Game crashes whenever I try to load one of my saves. Some earlier save files from the same run still work, but when I load those and try to play from that point, the game will eventually crash mid-session and newer saves will still crash when I try to reload them. attached are the error and exception files generated in the most recent crash.

I am running the most recent version of the game, no mods and have never used them before

I have already tried the following fixes, with no results:
Dirty reinstallation (deleting game files manually via file explorer and validating via steam)
Conventional uninstall and reinstallation via steam, plus manually deleting paradox HOI4 folder
running the game as administrator
running the game with fullscreen optimizations disabled
drastically reducing my graphics settings, including refresh rate, texture quality, post-processing, shadows, and resolution.
running the game in fullscreen and borderless (i was already using windowed)
increasing the CPU priority of hoi4.exe in Task Manager
updating Windows (and restarting)
updating my GPU drivers

also this game has been going on for a while (IGT is like May 1950) and I have a lot of production and construction going so I am wondering if the save file has just become too big/complex

I've been running into an issue where italy cannot build certain licensed ships and it cannot refit any screens or capital ships. I think it's been a bug for a while but I kept forgetting to mention it. Every time someone or I tries to refit cruisers or destroyers they disappear and they cannot be seen and half the time it just eats up 2 dockyards without actually refitting them

Im having a problem in my game right now where its 1951, I, being Brazil have finally geared myself up to take on the USA.

Out of nowhere my save is now constantly crashing within seconds of loading in.

Earlier saves seem are a little more stable but even those crash after a few minutes.
