Hi, I've got a quick question; when playing multiplayer games with a good number of people, there can be quite a lot of input lag for other people. What's the best way to fix this? We all have decent internet and nobody is slowing the game or lagging behind, it just seems there's an annoying amount of lag for other people to move a unit for it to actually register it moving for example. We typically play on 3 speed.

If you are playing with people that live far away from you and/or have poor internet they can have high ping but not bad enough to cause the game to slow down. You can see their ping by hovering over the date. Besides that input lag is often inevitable whenever there are too many things happening at the same time, such as in the late war when there are literally thousands of planes in the air and ~50 land battles going on concurrently. Or alternatively if you are playing a total conversion mod that is poorly optimized for multiplayer like Old World Blues or Kaiserredux.

the graphics aren't exactly the main resource expenditure, it's mostly the behind-the-scenes calculations required to, you know, handle every last modifier interaction

Iirc non agression pacts only protect you from directly getting declared on. If they have someone join their faction and call them in it doesn't affect it. They do take a hit to I think stabilith and war support tho if they break it

Quick question, and please consider I have 3000h+ hours in game only playing.

After German Empire (After civil war), annexed Memel through the event (I'm Lithuania), at the exact moment it was annexed all my civilian factories "disappeared" from the game logic. In the sense they are built in the respective states, but game doesn't take them in account. I will illustrate with pics of the construction tab and a random state I own.

Before I had if no factories from trade, tops 1-2? Consumer goods are not that high to cause incidence, they are at 11%. The cons.goods. tooltip even shows that I own 28 civ factories, and that 5 are used for cons.goods

This is not the first time I find this error, but usually it fixed itself after some time. When searching on the net all answers I found is new players who don't understand a game mechanic, but I believe is not the case this time clearly (Or so I believe).

I had wondered if it was solely just on mods but as of today, it includes vanilla with all DLCs. I've reinstalled hoi4, steam, cleared cache and verified it. Would appreciate any help.

try this in this exact order:
1- Unsubscribe any mod you have
2- Uninstall the game
3- Manually delete the two Hearts of Iron IV folders, you can find one under documents and the other under steamapp. Those are the usual paths to find the folders
under documents
C:\Users\user\OneDrive\Documenti\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV
and under steam
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV
and also the Workshop Folder under
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360
4- Open Windows Settings and search on the Applications if the Paradox launcher is still in the list, if it is uninstall it.
5- Restart your pc
6- Install the game again
7- Try if it works

Before deleting the one in Documents you should backup the Savegame folder

My pc currently crashes if i try launch the newest version of the game, but on older versions it works

and yes my pc is kinda bad so i reckon thats the problem.

anywhere you want on your pc, just out of the "Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV" folder

you move them to keep them safe while you delete the rest of the folder

if you are not interested in keeping them just skip the step

if i pressed F11, it would take a screen shot and save it to a folder
but after i testes mods and created playsets, my new screenshots are no where to be seen!
are they saved somewhere else or it just doesn't take SS at all?

Currently attempting to create more than 2 levels of Victory Point Icons. There are only 3 separate folders which have;
The Defines
The GFX strip
The 2 Interface files (GUI and GFX)

As of right now, it skips everything in the highlighted region, so If I were to reverse the position of the circles and the large squares, one would show up will the other would not

In this configuration the large squares would show up fine (as shown on Britain above) while the circles would not. The smallest size icons, the small squares, are unaffected by the position of the previous 2 groups

Ive been having trouble with lag in hoi4 and it just started recently, whenever I get near a battle or multiple divisions it starts lagging and or glitching. I have a very good PC and monitor so idk what the problem is.
