Yeah I had that issue, not sure what fixed it but it eventually solved itself. Alternatively use F12 instead to save a Steam screenshot, or Windows + Print Screen to save to the Pictures folder

I always play hoi4 with 2 friends. But after 1942 it starting to resync. And after 1950 its almost every 3 minuts. Till 1942 there is not a single resync. Is there a way to reduce at least the amounts of resync? Its after 1950 almost unplayable

Your problem is probably due to a hosting pc not good enough for very late game multiplayer and the ai spamming out planes, ships and divisions as normal. You can try to use mods that optimize the multiplayer and removes countries that are not important for the game like south america.

the pc is good but the game runs basically only on one cpu core for the ai management, so lategame when the number of calculations increase the game slow down, also in MP you have to consider your friends pc specs. Try like I said mods that optimize a little the mp and see if it improves or not.

Here is how drive letter assignment works.
A and B are floppy disks, as a holdover from when those were relevant. C is usually an SSD containing the Operating System. D drive is usually a hard drive or second SSD for extra storage. Any letter after D is the same exact same as D drive; just extra storage

I have an E drive because I have three separate storage devices. Two SSDs and one HDD.

The standard configuration is one SSD and HDD which is why most people are used to only seeing C and D drive

and under steam
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV
4- Open Windows Settings and search on the Applications if the Paradox launcher is still in the list, if it is uninstall it.

6- Install the game again
7- Try if it works

once you have finished those steps and you did control that the game works then you can start reinstalling mods. It would be better to do it one at a time and check for every one you add if the game works so that you find if one of them caused the issue.

My desktop PC loads way slower which ranges from 2 minutes to 5 minutes, than my gaming laptop which ranges from 20 seconds to 1 minute.
Any suggestions to make my game load way faster since it kills my mood to play the game (and not to make my friends wait lol)

I just purchased the game today, and after trying to launch I get stuck on the loading screen: most of the time on loading GUI, but sometimes also on loading sprites, loading databases, etc... When I launch the game in borderless I am able to click and get the Windows menu of waiting or closing the software with an additional option of trying to relaunch the game, and if I pick the loading advances to loading flags and stops again.
I tried everything I found online such as disabling antivirus, firewall, and all software that might interfere; also tried to change the setting to launch with direct x 9 instead of 11 and also Opengl. Tried to disable all the overlays from Windows and discord and all the rest, disabling mods, and even clearing the cache which makes no sense as the game never launched yet. Launching as admin from folder. Tried reinstalling multiple times with "Clean install"...
Always the same outcome... Any suggestions would be much-appreciated thanks

3- Manually delete the two Hearts of Iron IV folders, you can find one under documents and the other under steamapp. Those are the usual paths to find the folders
under documents
C:\Users\user\OneDrive\Documenti\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV
and under steam
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV
4- Open Windows Settings and search on the Applications if the Paradox launcher is still in the list, if it is uninstall it.
5- Restart your pc
6- Install the game again
Especially the step 3 be sure to find every folder named "Hearts of Iron IV" on your pc and delete it

Also check if windows defender is active and if it is set hoi4 as allowed for both antivirus, firewall and ransomware protection

Countries have done more divisions and more combat is going on so your CPU needs to calculate more stuff, although hoi4 could be optimised better

Played a game with one other person the other day, we played for about 6 hours straight with 0 issues. Loaded it up this morning.
Played it for about an hour and then once June 1941 hit, "Your game is out of sync" every minute or so.
Already cleared cache.
Already loaded other saves.
Already cleared the backups in the Documents folder.
Already tried "Resync" and "ok"
It may be worth noting that the game updating just before we played this morning.
Before anyone asks, our PCs are well above the requirements, and our internets fine lol. Lets just toss those out of the equation for simplicity sake.

It "desyncs" every 15 seconds or so.

Just tried tossing them the save file so they can host and now "i am out of sync" so its definitely the game lol.

I found two bugs in game

First being I occupied Palestine as Poland yet the game claims Turkey is occupying it so I am getting no achievement for that.
Second being the game naturally spawned in a monarchist Germany with Wilhelm the 2nd then 3rd as it’s leader.
Issue is it some how had access to the fascist focus tree even through it should be locked.

There really needs to be a way to selects groups of ships based on experience level. As in, "I want to grab all my Tier 1 and Tier 2 ships so I can go train them, without wasting the fuel of my Tier 3's"
