i made some mods around summer and after summer my windows corrupted or whatever so i did a clean install.
now that i want to edit/update my mods how do i do that? i think i have some backups of the mod files on my USBHDD but i tried to put them in the correct folders but hoi4 launcher would not like work with them correctly so i gave up then.

Well, the only thing I can think of that could possibly solve this is clearing cache

1. Open file explorer
2. Go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV
3. Move the mod, save games, Screenshots folders, as well as career profile files to somewhere else on the drive. (If these don’t exist or you don't care, ignore this step)
4. Delete everything in the Hearts of Iron IV folder.
5. Put all the moved files and folders back in.
6. Launch the game again.

Crossplay between steam/gamepass is only possible when you're using nakama cross play. So even if he reverses to 1.12.8 I don't think it'd be possible. You'll just have to wait for it to update on gamepass

I need help for my modding problem

I made a map mode that narrows the English Channel by changing provinces.

However, if Air Wings made at an airport on Great Britain are deployed to the English Channel, they are not damaged in air combat.

Like stealth aircraft, not a single British fighter is shot down, only enemy fighters are shot down.

It is not a problem of aircraft design or environment because I turned off AI and controlled everything. The problem occur only because I modified the map.

I used 'Buildings' in Nudge tool to adjust buildings to new map, verified Integrity of game files on steam, checked error code then fixed it, but I can't solve this problem.

ok I just found the problem. To unlock the decisions you must have Waking the tiger DLC active. It is probably due to the fact that the ottoman empire was a formable nation introduced in waking the tiger. In Battle for the Bosporus DLC it became a formable by focus tree but it didn't remove the need for the previous DLC.
Imho you should report this as a possible bug in the bug section of the paradox forum as the decisions should be available with only the Battle for the Bosporus DLC as they are related to a specific focus of that DLC.

probably some previously installed mod modified your game files. Do a backup of your savegames, then delete the folder named HOI4 that you can find under documents. Start the game so that it will automatically recreate the deleted folder. Look if the checksum is the correct one (should be 9d51).

Im playing Russia and for two years this airport has had one level of damage, i cant repair it from the construction screen

Thats just a common issue with front lines sometimes expanding if they capture territory. You can try and use a field marshal line instead tho.
Also the airport thing might be because you don't fully own the province.

first check if without any mod you and your friend have the same checksum. Then activate the same exact mods (same version of the mods too so be sure to have both the latest versions). Checksum should be the same for both of you.
If checksum is not the same without mods then one or both have a modified files (happens due to mods that modify game files and do not revert them back when the mod is removed). In this case you will have to do a full reinstall.

Seems like BBA broke carriers. Back then carrier planes would always have 100% efficiency when doing air missions from carriers even if they lacked range but now they dont have it anymore.

it is not broken, it is called balancing. why planes should have full efficiency if they can not cover the entire air zone when departing from a carrier parked in a fixed spot? Improve your planes to have better range if you want them to reach further away. Also that malus is not applied during naval combat.

Another thing I think it might be is the files not cooperating and it will download but not file into the game. Microsoft has a fix bugs/Download button and the files just stayed the same

I disabled all my mods and got the mods requierd for the multiplayer.
Still nothing, what should i do/

you must look at the checksum, of your game and of the multiplayer lobby. The two have to be the same to be able to play in that lobby
