Ever notice the AI doesn't produce carrier fighters. Like ever. They'll pump out carriers with a CV bomber deficit of -400 without any CV aircraft in production. That's like the AI pumping out tanks with no guns. It happens every game.
They will however devote 1/2 of their production towards trains when they already have a surplus. Idk how or why I've put 5000 hours in this game when you take a glimpse behind the AI current and it's just monkeys with wrenches.

I’m just worried because if the war goes on long enough, I could capitulate due to a bug in the mod. If a war in Russia goes on for too long, one nation might capitulate even though they controlled all of their victory points.

looks like a lot of the time it can be due to antivirus blocking stuff, might want to set exceptions for hoi4 and the paradox launcher in your AV software or windows defender if you don't have a separate one

- Move the mod, save games, Screenshots folders, as well as career profile files to somewhere else on the drive. (If these don’t exist or you don't care, ignore this step)
- Delete everything in the Hearts of Iron IV folder.
- Put all the moved files and folders back in.
- Launch the game again.

If there are issues with your world map (country borders not showing up or colours not showing) you will need to clear your game's cache.To clear the Cache, close your game and relaunch it. In the Paradox Launcher, click GAME SETTINGS on the left menu, and then scroll all the way down until you see the Game section at the bottom, and select the CLEAR USER DIRECTORY.
This should help solve the issue when you fully launch the game.

Common Document Issues
If you are having issues finding your game documents from Hearts of Iron, it may be one of a few issues.
One problem may be your One Drive. If you have One Drive enabled, your files may be going to the Cloud service, in which the game cannot read those documents. To make sure that your files aren't going to the cloud, either turn off One Drive itself, or turn off the Sync function for the folders that you do not wish to be uploaded to the Cloud.
Another issue is the game not being able to read its own documents that it has made, the simple fix for that is to give Hearts of Iron Admin Privileges.
A third issue can be your documents being found as a virus.(This is most common with Avast) To fix this, you can either whitelist the program and files associated with Hearts of Iron within your antivirus, or disable it entirely (or change antivirus entirely which is recommended by some)

Checksum Issues

Lastly, if those two steps do not work, try verifying the integrity of your files to ensure that it is installed correctly.
Mod Issues
If your game is crashing due to Mods, or if its not able to launch at all, make sure you check which Mods are installed.
Large scale mods will only work on Major Version States (like 1.11) Smaller mods may, however, work on smaller patches.This does not mean they are compatible, however, and you should check your Mod Load Order, as well as which versions of each mod you are running to ensure compatibility.

However, as long as you search this official server with "playset" or "mods", it seems that there are few reports of similar phenomena, even though the number of people online on this server is overwhelmingly larger.
Is this an environmental bug? For example, the presence of multi-byte characters in launcher and mods paths (especially Windows usernames). Will Paradox Interactive fix the launcher for this issue? I can't launch Hoi4 because I'm afraid of that bug.

1- Unsubscribe any mod you have
2- Uninstall the game
3- Manually delete the two Hearts of Iron IV folders, you can find one under documents and the other under steamapp. Those are the usual paths to find the folders
under documents

and under steam

4- Open Windows Settings and search on the Applications if the Paradox launcher is still in the list, if it is uninstall it.

If you are having crashes or graphical issues after the release of 1.12 Avalanche, it is most likely due to DX11.
To switch to DX9, open the launcher.
Go to game settings.
Click DX9.

Well OpenGL is meant to be hyper-compatible so I don't know why that would happen

Do it manually then

- Open file explorer
- Go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV
- Move the mod, save games, Screenshots folders, as well as career profile files to somewhere else on the drive. (If these don’t exist or you don't care, ignore this step)
- Delete everything in the Hearts of Iron IV folder.
- Put all the moved files and folders back in.
- Launch the game again.

Yeah beyond those 3 fixes, there aren't really any I see that would fix it
For every single case I saw before switching renderers but... I don't know why it won't work on yours

Hey Guys
I have been playing Hoi4 since 2017 and now I got a new machine to play it on, I previously had an Intel i5 7th Gen and a GTX 1050 Ti
Now I have a RTX laptop
The problem is I get huge frame drops when completely zoomed out on the map
Like I go from 60-80FPS when normal zoom to 10 FPS when fully zoomed out, it never happened on the older laptop, I still got the same FPS regardless of the zoom
I don’t get the this issue with EU4, it’s only really HOI4, would love some help
