1. Change your renderer:
   Launcher>Game settings> Renderer
2. Reinstall the game and see if that works

Then I'm not sure. Crashes are quite anomalous. The most you can do is submit a bug report but if the game crashes while loading it might not be fixable

Because if a new savegame works then I doubt there's an easily identifiable way to save this save

1- Unsubscribe any mod you have
2- Uninstall the game
3- Manually delete the two Hearts of Iron IV folders, you can find one under documents and the other under steamapp. Those are the usual paths to find the folders
under documents
C:\Users\user\OneDrive\Documenti\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV
and under steam
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV
4- Open Windows Settings and search on the Applications if the Paradox launcher is still in the list, if it is uninstall it.
5- Restart your pc
6- Install the game again
7- Try if it works

3. Move the mod, save games, Screenshots folders, as well as career profile files to somewhere else on the drive. (If these don’t exist, ignore this step)
4. Delete everything in the Hearts of Iron IV folder.
5. Put all the moved files and folders back in.
6. Launch the game again.

And the GPU is almost never the problem

HOI4 has one thread it uses for a specific intense job and it can’t split it up further

Meaning it has a limit by that one thread

I see. The only option I see now is clearing the user directory

1. Open file explorer
2. Go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV
3. Move the mod, save games, Screenshots folders, as well as career profile files to somewhere else on the drive. (If these don’t exist, ignore this step)
4. Delete everything in the Hearts of Iron IV folder.
5. Put all the moved files and folders back in.
6. Launch the game again.
