You want to get a howitzer anyway so those starting tanks will be useless. Just get the medium 38 hull and get arty 2 for howitzer

Not worth to mkae TDs against AI, but you could mix SPG with the close support gun and normal tanks with the heavy cannon leaving everything else equal

TDs are def worth it compared to regular tanks
In some cases they're even better than spgs cuz they take half supply
of SPGs yes, but they take up only ~6.5% less supply than tanks, while losing a bunch of breakthrough just to gain more piercing you don't really need against AI
No TDs get a lot more buffs than tanks do

but those kick in gradually, not not much of a concern with '36 tanks

most of the time compliance dosent really pay off unless its above 50% andeven then itll take like 2years to reach that amount
for garrison what the game looks is only the equipment per suppression and manpower per suppression that the unit has, 1 cav and 50 cav will have the same ratio
but it does change when you add supports
25 cav + 1 mp costs much less support equipment than 1 cav + 1 mp
The difference is with MP, which don't scale with the number of units, so on 50 cavs their cost is a lot more diluted
but they don't work half the time, i have maxed out MP horse batallions as garrison on whatever ruling law and complience just doesn't rise or fall for years

i usually leave it on military governor so i don't have to look at that menu for the entire playthrough
but testing other laws didn't seem to work either
civilian oversight for dem, liberated worker for comm, local police force for all else
what garrison unit you use does not affect resistance/compliance as long as you have enough MP/equipment
My suggestion for garrison law, is use the one with the most compliance gain that keeps the target below 25%
or give up compliance entirely and use max resistance reduction

no, your garrison not having equipment means the resistance reduction from your law is reduced/removed, but the compliance penalty still applies

Currently the two main strats to keep it simple is destroyers with max torpedos or light cruisers maxing soft attack
but the problem is that when i try to produce them, it says it comes out 1943 or sum bullshit
This did it. Switched icon to the first one and it worked
the icons mark a different "type" of equipment, so units will use them only if told to do so

first of all don't add line artillery.
second of all there is an exploit to do that. Create 1 inf divisions that only use 1918 guns (A), 1 art divisions that use no equipment (B), and 20 or 25 inf divisions with art support and light tank support that use no equipment (C). Deploy division As and train them to regular, then in the same day while not pausing, change them first to division B and then division C and then train them to regular. Such training only costs 1918 guns and you don't need to reinforce any equipment. Then to convert them to your desired division, like a 36w armor division (D), make a copy of division D which adds one inf battalion (E). As long as division C has more manpower requirements than division E, your new divisions will keep regular status after all equipments are reinforced. Then convert E to D to get 97% to regular divisions. This is much faster and cost effective than training division D from scratch.

So you starting in Nov 1940 gave the allies time to prepare an attack from the netherlands
Attacking in 39 has the Netherlands as neutral
You then attack them and cap them in a few days with no other allied troops in the country
If Netherlands is already in the allies for some reason, it is flat land and should be easily taken

no, AI rarely builds Tanks and they are usually pretty bad
try forts along the river and on your major cites

one collab you only need to get to the archangelsk-astrakhan line, full collab you only need to take the biggest cities west of the volga
