I don't have too much experience in Japan, so I can't tell you much unfortunately
Rage Quit??? The submarine repair problem may have broken me. When you reach 300 on Wolfpacks and get “Improvisation Culture” the subs all get a 20% HP boost. This would be great except that they have to be repaired to get the HP. I have 30 dockyards set to repair if needed. But, this is when the artificial unintelligence (AU) kicks in. The eight sub wolfpacks often run off to size 1 ports where it will take a loooong time to complete repairs. The AU also often picks random small ports vulnerable to the enemy. Some of my subs went to Oran (I’m USA), a size 6 port, but one where apparently only one repair can take place at a time. Their home port is Gibraltar. I canceled the repair task and sent them to Gibraltar where they disappeared from the map. I finally found them out at sea and sent them back to Gibraltar and started the repair task. Then they immediately headed off to Naples.... Where they would be more vulnerable to enemy air. The AU is a major disaster when it comes to ship repair. Having ALL subs go into repair mode at once is a major player headache. We need a better system of specifying repair ports – the AU is too dumb currently.

I just found out you can toggle the repair state of a port with <crtl>-click. There is a little red circle slash if the port is closed for repair. This will help enormously.
It means a lot of clicks though to clean up ship repair and point the ships to safe big ports.

you want your military to be ready and your army tree is OP
but just try stuff out, read things
you have limited resources so lock in on them
dont be afraid to research ahead of time because you get better stuff earlier and not all techs are relevant, in fact, most arent to you
yeah, for instance support infantry research isn't as relevant as actual infantry equipment
and artillery research isn't relevant for infantry builds
Most meta builds revolve around limiting the number of categories that need to be researched
it's quite literally true that you should not touch any research outside of industry, infantry equipment, and aircraft tabs(+ electronic 1)

most of their losses are from garrisons

and then his ground troops lose maybe idk 2 million to the wars because western europe is trash

like iiidk you could end this war with like 300-500K conventional ground losses with just larger inf units, special forces, with air
your support cost is justified on larger units with more hp
but these are just kind of crap that will lead to the entire thing of "well i cant afford more expensive units so i will make these units" while the units you make are diverting your production across many many places and yet still taking high losses
which means you neither have the advantage of most low cost units of high hp/less losses per combat hour
nor the advantage of concentrated industry in certain tiles being able to trade much more favourably in attacks
youre also not using all your mils, or clicking all doctrines because theres notifications for these
admittably you do use your political power and civs, thats good
As a minor (im playing as Iraq to form the Hasemite) is there any good templates for infantry that can work well in deserts and still pack a decent punch

its more hp per batallion/manpower, just it also costs more
if you edit the mech design you can and should make it half cost
other upgrades are not good

you also get a military high command advisor for it, and other buffs in the army tree
so mech is like a good end goal for a lot of your units if you can afford the industrial cost

unless ur playing sheeps mod i would just slap a heavy cannon (rush hv3), 3 man heavy turret, best radio, 2 mounted cannons and easy maintenance, christie suspension, riveted armour and gasoline engine, and max out engine and armour ticks

Italy's navy usually does pretty well. You just have to be careful about when and how it get's engaged

larger templates are more efficient ic wise but hold less org and get reinforce memed easier
smaller templates hold more org but are less ic efficient
i have little confidence in just having 18w, but paired with things like tanks it can be effective to give those tanks time

in a war screen you can see it because the flags of majors has a golden border
checksum and game version are two different things. It's no bug
but pre war? i want to kill the allies but im not sure if i only hv to kill england or also like poland and czechs
checksum can be changed by mods notably
I think when you go to exit to the menu, you can see it in the menu that pops out
otherwise you can guess your way with base majors (front countries in the start screen), faction leaders and countries that have puppets
well its where it says cdcd usually? in the brackets (cdcd) it changes as in launcher its correct but then tells me ive got a different version of the game when trying to join his lobby. only way to fix it so far for me is to run no mods but i didn't know if there is anyway i can fix it
the version displayed on the launcher is the game version or the launcher version. It isn't the checksum, which only appear once the game is launched
if you have different checksums, ensure you have the same game version, same exact mods and that no one has mod updates pending. If a mod was updated recently, you might have to restart steam or unsub-resub to the mod in order to trigger the download

that's it*
use your airforce (bombers only, on air support mission only), on both fronts. Pay attention to their range
delete all cav and tank units in the mainland (for equipment) and bring the rest down as reinforcements on both fronts
DO NOT 5 SPEED INTO THE WAR, 4 speed tops
once aussa gets annexed, you take the 3 divs that spawn and take the supply hub of hafar and walk into the two tiles next to it. Assign those 3 divs to their own general so you can use force atk ability if you need to pin enemy units
with battleplans on aggressive and air support you'll win in about 2 months without micro (appart from taking the supply hub with the spawn-ins and connecting the railway to said hub)
green is where the supply comes from
red is the automatic tool to swap bases when on mission
and since you didn't connect the 3 zones with missions next to each other, the fleet base cannot be moved automatically
defense 18w (support artillery, AA and engineers if you can afford it)
Attack 36w (same as previous but also add hospitals and for 5th slot either logistic company or signals even when you don't need them in singleplayers really.
there's no attack inf without no step back DLC tbf

hospital is fine, almost required if you're a manpower-limited nation, but then again it cost a lot and is way more useful on big divs

if you really want to use them, just build Heavy SPGs (heavy howitzer, 3 man heavy turret, radio 3, 3x secondary heavy MG, adjust speed to your liking, 4 armor clicks.

basic rules of plane design :
1 - If you're not using all the thrust, you're doing something horribly wrong
2 - small airframe = 1 engine, medium = 2 engine. Period. If you don't respect that, then you're doing something horribly wrong
3 - Air attack, range and air defence are to be maxed out in this order of priority from top to lesser
4 - Range should always be at a bare minimum of 800km (it isn't great to be clear), 1000 is what you want to aim for a good light airplane. There is never too much range to have
5 - Light fighters always out-trade against heavy fighters, except in the pacific (where heavy fighters win due to light fighters lacking range and not being able to use superior numbers). Heavy fighters are a almost always a waste in singleplayer
6 - Agility and speed are useful but not primordial
7 - Heavy MG are the gun to use before you get canons 2 (1944 tech)
8 - Electronics are always a waste, except for strat bomber meme

using the default one they have that has a ton of inf brigades in it with art + engineer support. also used the bike infantry but added a light tank with high armor values so they can't pierce us. I had the most success pushing from beachhead naval invasions with the cyclist/tank inf but we stalled out before we could get to wuhan because of supply + running of out small arms.

what you can do early on is : one engine lvl 2 and then as armament two x2 canons. Once you get the improved range research, replace one of the canons with 4x light MG and add a extra fuel tank
also, engine tech is as important as airframe tech
