1. Unsubscribe from the mod and resubscribe to it. You may have to attempt this several times. This will fix the issue for the vast majority of people.

2. Unsubscribe from the mod and uninstall HoI4. Then reinstall HoI4 and resubscribe to the mod. It is very rare for this problem to persist after this point.

3. The nuclear option. Complete step 2 again, but before reinstalling HoI4, go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV. Delete the mod folder. Reinstall HoI4 and start a game with no mods turned on, this should recreate the mod folder that you previously deleted. Subscribe to the mod.

4. The ultra nuclear option (NOTE: THIS WILL UNINSTALL ALL OF YOUR HOI4 MODS AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RESUBSCRIBE TO THEM AGAIN). In your steam app, click on Steam at the top left of the window and select "Backup and Restore Games". Create a backup for HoI4, then uninstall HoI4. Find the game folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ and delete the Hearts of Iron IV folder if it's there. Then go to Documents\Paradox Interactive and delete the Hearts of Iron IV folder if it's there. Reinstall the game by again going to "Backup and Restore Games", but select Restore Backup this time. No, I figured out how can I make the revolting state for example fascist, my problem is that I have no idea how to give the player controls over the new state. I'll come up with an example, in dlc germany if you oppose Hitler and start a civ war you will be on the non aligned side, not on Hitler's, now my mod put me to the Hitler side. So I want either a side selection for the player, but at least put the player to the revolt side (idk if it matters, but I start it from focus)

Had an idea for a mod that has the world’s greatest leaders in their prime travel through time to take the head of their nation

Historical AI focuses would keep everything normal except for the player's country, because that can do whatever

but disabling it would cause the leaders to show up by event in other nations

for example, it would start with Prester John appearing in Ethiopia as the Italians invade, providing them with enough buffs to push them out

and as an example for these trees

Napoleon Bonaparte reappears in France on May 5th, 1936, on the 115th anniversary of his death

and within a month, France falls into a civil war

From there, the player can go down three trees, none of which are mutually exclusive to the other

"Cross the Channel," "Cross the Rhine," "Cross the Pyrenees"

which is war with Britain, Germany, and Spain respectively

Britain's focus tree would involve commandeering parts of the Royal Navy (if France has one of the mainland ports)

Germany's focus tree would have a focus called "Invoke Louisiana," which would offer a faction invitation to the US

Spain's focus tree would involve either aligning Portugal or inviting them to their faction, and then staging a coup in Gibraltar if France is at war with Britain

Napoleon would also be a field marshal as well as the nation's leader, something that many of the other displaced leaders could be
