well you could create a "Frozen Ocean" strategic region category, and then give it like 50% speed debuff, and then you can add Ice breaker ships that, if they are present in a fleet, reduce the debuff by 40% or something

As the man sayed you have to make Austria not call them in as they are puppets, my recomendation would be to make it so they arent puppets and instead add that they cannot declare war on each other because they have the same ideology

I had a similar error a while ago where custom icons for national spirits didnt show up, but for me it didnt break any other pictures. Maybe try undoing what you did when the errors occured and then go from there. If you want you can send me the error log.

I didnt lmao, I just let it use the default image, as the specific spirit was made for a country which was not supposed to be played by a player anyway

I am pretty sure the AI cannot be forced but there are a lot of ways to combat this, for example making the divisions a different template with special names that clearly show they are volunteers and make them disappear once the war has ended for example

yea, i was trying to have these troops be controlled by AI so that the potential player that receives these troops doesnt directly control them

the first one is to make those troops worse
the second one would be if you really wanted make it so the AI has a reason to send units
I am not the best at codding and there might be a way to force a country to send volunteers but not from what I know
and definitively not start with them
I know one mod where volunteer forces are always received by a certain country from other countries, always the same country and same number of troops involved which is why i assume theres some way to script this

How do i make an event where one country sends a specific amount of a certain equipment type to another country?
is it as simple as deleting equipment in stockpile A and adding new equipment to stockpile B or is there a more elegant way

it's not necessarily a percentage thing, but you can use it as such if it makes it easier
so you can do 9 and 1 for the same effect

I haven't figured out a very "intelligent" way yet, but I created an invisible timed mission that counted down specific amount of days from game start resulting in it firing at my specific date
I'm certain there are way more effective ways to do this though

scripted triggers just save space, they require preexisting triggers to work
instead of making like a 20 line available scope in a focus you put a single line, which is that scripted trigger
and you move those 20 lines into the scripted trigger file
they're pretty damn good but not really useful unless you're using the same set of triggers multiple times

I use VS code too, many also use Notepad++
I'd say VS code is a bit more versatile, but at the end of the day you can choose between the 2

yep, it's a boolean value. You can do set_country_flag = whatever_you_want_here then has_country_flag = whatever_you_want_here in the second decision trigger
it doesn't have localisation, though
so a set_country_flag in the complete effect of decision 1 and a has_country_flag in the available block for decision 2
the tooltip won't be accurate so you'll have to make a custom one

you can do a global flag as well, it doesn't really matter if it applies to one nation
so basically a "public/private" boolean

i've made a national spirit. It worked completely fine when i added it so i removed it from the country file and decided to make it appear through national focus. But no matter what i do it just dosen't work.
i checked if there was a typo or something but it was good
i tried without the {} so it was just add_ideas = wild_spirit and it didn't work either
Are there any good mods for gaining more cores for a country? Not just free ones but if you get compliance high enough you can use pp to gain cores. Essentially replacing compliance government

Hey all. I was curious on how people would think for a Warhammer 40k mod called "Cadia Stands" where you either play the forces of evil or the imperium of man in the fall of cadia. It would be a huge map with stagetic points and overtime the map would start to "break" which would be rivers/lakes so the naval system would become "spaceships" I think this would be a cool idea and im curious what others would thiink

Take this example focus here: focus = { id = test x = 0 y = 0 } the x and y are the position of your focus, in this case 0 and 0, the top left corner. If you set x to -1, the left side of your focus tree window expands.

Are you trying to move the window or the focus? I have only ever moved the window myself though not any of the focuses in it
i wanna move everything from the position it is at to the right
because i need to make a new focus and it blocks the focus

After that, in the script, i copy the things in script into the file that is new? (Change around the id’s and manpower) is that how to do it?

so i’m playing road to 56, it’s gone totally unhistorical, UK declared on iceland, greece declared on albania, hungary joined the comintern, and finland joined the allies, idk what happened. I think it has something to do with me having historical focuses on?
If you as the player does something ahistorical, there is a chance of the AI deciding to go ahistorical too
