Making hoi4 mods is rather easy, it may seem intimidating at first because of all the files you need to edit but once you get used to it, its pretty simple

I learned yesterday about making divisions spawn on start as well so i had the same problem
For example you must change the history/units/CUB, check the name of the file
And then go to history/countries/TAG and if there is no "oob" just add it into the txt file like for example
"oob = CUB"

5 speed is already the fastest it can be, it's capped by your computer hardware
all that mod is doing is increasing the speeds of the other 4 speeds

yes, and i even managed to do that, the map was created and all, the problem is, when i tried to customize the states, it glitched

ah, there's our issue for the name of old states.
go to your mod folder and create
a new folder named "localisation"
in "localisation" make a new folder named "english"
and in english you must copy the state_names_l_english.yml folder from the hoi4 files

Yeah for state modding I would recommend doing it in the files and using the nudger for the buildings in the new states, keeping in mind you need to copy paste the nudger files into your mod

You do know these are cancelled out of the code right?

and i did NOT create a separate file for the mod, so what happened is, when i deactivated the mod, all the states were messed up in the original game aswell, so i had to uninstall and reinstall HOI4

start with the basics and work your way up

About variables. I have a variable with a value that is set onstartup to 1600. It's displayed in the description of a decision category, and when certain decision is over I wanted to substract 5 from the 1600. But when the decision ends the number I guess overflows and becomes -13405?

They have different people working on different parts of the mod
You for example, you are only one person so it will take time to develop something nice
Having a team or one person doesnt change a great mod can be developed either way
My mod is being developed by me and one other guy, me doing the âprogrammingâ and the other guy doing art and we think we can make a pretty decent product

well, historically the desert was passable but armies preferred only a few corridors to move around
but such terrain did not quite impede their ability to wage war by 1930s anyway

nah, I owned the Mongolian states already from capitulating USSR. When Japan declared on me, I didn't have the divisions to the border so I released Mongolia to try to clog their advance but it kinda didn't matter

like youre in war with british as germany, you completely capitulate poland and you wont be able to release puppet unless peace conference
if you built compliance on a country, you'll be able to release the country as a provisional government once you control their states entirely
though I don't know if it'll be the country itself but it 100% is a thing if that country has cores for other countries in them
