How would one make it so that commanders/field-officers/generals generate in about the sane way as operatives (e.g imaged and Names can be female as well as male, and the names match the portraits in terms of gender)
I don't think you can image them but you can use the modifier female_random_army_leader_chance and names are always sectioned off by gender
Actually the new general system means they generate completely differently

Allow_branch doesnt check its condition except at game start unless you tell it to
(visible is also not a valid focus thing)
You need to do set_focus_layout_dirty = yes as effect of the first focus to make it refresh and show the 2nd

I got a question: I get Map Errors for all the ethiopian states, I replaced all the content of the new states with an empty file and used the old ones, the problem is, every state works but the ethiopian ones. The Error is MAP_ERROR: Definition for state id 835 is either missing or invalid (This error goes all the way up to state 849 except 848)

I deleted the necessary files through Nudger time and time again using my mod, then I added the fresh files again to the mod. It seems that the launcher keeps refusing to launch my mod.

These look like basegame files. Don't overwrite basegame files if it's not necessary.

Texas is owned by Republic of Texas and with all its respective provinces.
But the problem is that in the game, there's a glaring white Texas with no name

Yeah it's best to just use the original state for optimum compatibility with new updates

Corps Commanders donβt use small portraits
I think itβs easier to just make the character with all needed portraits at game start and just add the role when needed

Can more than one nation have the same charaacter, the problem is that the commander has a custom portrait and when I promote them to high command they become invisible cause lack of small portrait.
Not sure about the multiple nation characters but yes my suggestion should alleviate the high command issue

I am making a mod (for personal use) that I modify my country starting technologies, buildings, divisions, etc. I have the mtg expansion and trying to figure out how to start with a ship of specific design. if I edit the file and add an improved hull, the ship comes empty of parts. for example:

With conditional trigger I mean one that only pops out if a condition is met, like in the other diplo actions, when there Is opinion modifier and stuff, that disappear when they are not needed

It's not "custom" custom, it's just a HoI4 hull with some modules Dat u get in the start of the game, instead of when u search the hull and get it without modules

tdebug console command does not show the id name

ai_acceptance is from scripted diplo actions, it is diplo action syntax for ai_will_do
scripted_diplo_actions is something I've never touched
everything is ez, the hard part is making the ai acceptance modifiers, decide when ai_will_do it
