i figured it out, I was thinking the acrobatics point makes it so i now have 100% evasion on strikes and proj but im now realizing its description just means evade now dodges all hits rather than just proj and strikes
i wouldnt trust both
Don't trust any build makers. Look at their tree, look at their gems. Find the good bits. Test stuff. Minions are bit complex for anyone to be a good builder 🙂
GhazzyTV early guides on youtube are kinda ok, cant recommend the later onse tho because they are insanely exepnsive

infernalist will still be best minion ascendancy most likely even when it will get nerfed
not sure if minions will get more nerfs
From what I have seen, it has the hound going for it. I would go offmeta ascendancy for minions
yea issue is that other ascendancies have nothing at all
so infernalist will be the most unaffected by that

cast on shock kinda sucks low level, it gets much stronger as you level i asume? i was seeing people in vids having it fire off every cast
while also being perfect minion ascendancy at same time
well it gets stronger when your shocks get more reliable
but it being strong while clearing was nerfed

ES needs investment and I don't trust evasion into ES is good at all for gemling atleast
there arent rly many options you either go acro or go eva/es, your only other option beside that is int stack howa and take es on the way lul and still be eva/es

Phys prefix works for the quiver, osin makes it easier to build, but I bet there's a way to do it...

Erm. I would assume consumed effects are resolved before any 2ndary hits happen from the same skill.

if this had +to proj skills it would've been almost perfect. But man, it quite literally tripled my damage compared to my previous crossbow. I just started mapping on my grenadier, and I've had same crossbow from like lvl40. What a difference

No and No, armour is in a "bad" spot at the very endgame, evasion is kinda ok, for both of them you want kinda alot

I am really trying to understand the reason for the gem selection here in the uber endgame section on herald of thunder and ice.
What is the point of going Cold Infusion on Thunder and Lightning Infusion on Ice? Both support Gems reduce the corresponding damage nature massively

doubt it, it was allways that way Life/ES is allways the first line of defense you have to get everything else comes after that

Armour is for defense against small hits. Big hits make armour less efffective
Life/ES is just a way stronger defense and needs to be the first step any character takes
would you still play it that way against a pinnacle boss? Probably not? I mean the whole Herald loudout, seems like they're not needed on bosses

tempest bell deals damage on it's own when you drop it. I'd imagine inevitable crit affects that

They are unique, not legendary
You have to constantly replace your gear
Ideally you want Rares; Uniques are always the same no matter the level you get them at. You cant upgrade them

there's really no such thing as leveling up items, that's not exactly how it works
you can improve items in variety of ways, but they're always based on an item of normal rarity with certain fixed parameters

there's not a whole lot you can do with unique items. You can increase their quality, add rune slots and put runes in them, and you can corrupt them for variety of desirable or very undesirable outcomes
with uniques what you see is what you get, pretty much. Some of them translate into late game, many don't

it's just coming from other games people may be under the impression that uniques are highest rarity of items in the game. As in - they're the best. But it's really not the case. It's in the name. They're not legendary, or mythic tier or whatever. They are unique. Handcrafted items with unique effects. They can be bad, they can be good

i think they are just generally underpowered
i have like 70 of themn and i think most of them are really cool
but none of them are worth using
but ig uess its imposisble to make most of them good
i also think most of them would work on in a way that they suck and you buff them and they and so on and at some point it just flip flops from not viable to breakign the game
it does work, if you consume one charge the buff will tick down from 8 seconds. (i don't know if the buff appears on the top of the screen by default, you may have to enable this setting if doenst)
btw. i tried the self damage node on infernalist extensively and its just too unpredictable
after like 10h of math and testing i jsut went back to more or less the original build lol
now i gotta build map stock back up

Hello everyone how do I get power charges for my Charged staff without using combat frenzy and that one node? I just entered endgame and looked up some builds where no one used combat frenzy for their staff to charge and I was wondering how they do it

If youre low level, 1 or 2 ex is good enough for a leveling bow for higher its as much as you can spend 
Theres a spell where it consume corpse to give you power charge, the other option is power siphon or whatever the skill is called
grenade nerf seems like it was very poorly thought out

You cant go CI, you have to sovle the expotenial mana cost of spellvl scaling, it can work but its risky
will need to immediately go into crit

Its overall just a risky build that can break when you reach a point in your character progression because of the spellcost curve

well, thats a tough question. The best monk is actually a mercenary, you go gemling and then get hands of wisdom and action and have like 500 int/dex and use pillar of the caged god and then delete the whole map with "melee attacks" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w05zJ2CGee0

the problem with that is the armor formula for poe2 is worthless and there's no version of that where you're gonna live

I don't think so, also at this point we don't know if the stat-stack builds like that are going to get nerfed, or if hands of wisdom is going to get nerfed since it's making multiple builds crazy rn. If you want to actually play monk going invoker and focusing on ice skills is a safe bet

i think melee skills are not important for most attack skills other then totems, but not to sure
whats up with bonestorm mana cost? says lvl 21 should cost 78, instead it costs 170+170 life

alot of ppl use archemage and mana stack, bloodmages often opt into just using detonate death cause you can use a level 7 skill on that

Yeah, mana costs are pretty crazy. I went Archmage on my fireball just because I invested enough into mana just for mana sustain that I figured I may as well add Archmage into the build at that point

staff is 2h, wand is 1h but you cant dual wield wand so you can pick either a sceptre or a shield or a focus
You can poison with your basic attack and use corrosion for armour

ppl usually go wand + shield for defense or wand + focus for more dmg

Build craft question about demon form infernalist:
I keep seeing build guides that spend passive points on damage nodes for "10% Increased spell damage" or "25% Increased elelemntal damage"
If "Increased" means additive, why would you waste any passive points on these nodes if two additional ticks of Demon form provide the same benefit (+16%x2). Is it better to just passive tree only defensive and aliment nodes and let Demon form do all the heavy lifting for damage?

yeah, those tree's are bad. I dont have a single damage node on my tree that isnt cast speed. All points in energy shield, some mana or jewel sockets to get 15% life regen. Can get to 500+ stacks for 9000+% spell damage increase.

I already learned a mechanic about ignite infliction, if you deal higher ignite damage than your base ignite it starts a new ignite, i think it must be better at generating energy than the other elements because of it.
Well, you can put as many ignites on an enemy at once as you want, but only the highest damage one will actually damage them at any given moment.

So if you have something triggered upon igniting, then you can trigger it over and over regardless of them already having ignites, I believe.
I could be wrong on that, but that's how I understand it based on how the ignite mechanic works.
I would imagine something that doesn't work that way would specify that it triggers "upon igniting an unignited enemy" or something like that.
Also, infernal legion ignites enemies as if hitting them, so that can be good if you have something that triggers on igniting. I'm not sure how often it puts a new ignite on them, though.

Essentially, you're giving enemies a new resource that you break down by damaging them. On it's own, I don't see any impact of them losing concentration, but I'm guessing the tree has another skill after that one which then takes effect based on concentration.

You gain life orbs that heal you and can overheal you. Just don't send your mana costs too high and get life regen. I honestly forgot I was even spending life because it doesn't go down at all from my casting.

The poison takes the base damage of the hit, multiplies by 0.2, then applies any damage that's relevant to chaos damage over time and deals that.
It's final damage i believe. So im bit confused how it works in poe2.

Also, any effects on the enemy that will impact the damage they receive from chaos damage over time will matter. I remember wither impacts chaos damage, but I forget if it's specific to hits. That might help the poison do more.

So, whatever it's modifying (fire damage, strength, spell damage, etc.) will get a base value from all +[n] stuff, then all [% Increased] mods, added into a single % will apply, then each [% more] modifier is applied multiplicatively one after another.

Unless that particular skill works in a weird way, then yes. It should apply to all of that. If it does work different, then I'd expect a future patch to either change how it works or change the wording to be more clear.

Depends on the rest of your build. Considered casting is a nice +40% damage, but slower casting. If you have minions, then minion pact can sacrifice their life for +40% damage. There's also one for 40% more AoE size, but I forget the name.
Also, another question 🙃 if I'm rocking TWO cultist greathammers, does it pop twice?

If dual wielding is the same as poe, then no, because you alternate weapons. Only one hammer hits at a time.
Poison does chaos damage, but it's an ailment... Chaos DoTs are simply considered DoTs hence the don't have any unique mechanics, like the poison does.
I don't think there's any double dipping allowed with these conversions. If you stack cold nothing will happen, because technically there is no cold damage anymore. No chilling or freezing either

in general game tries to avoid positive multiplier loops with things like conversions. So you don't break damage calcs by double dipping into multipliers for both, or end up where they apply recursively and damage going into infinity

Unless it changed in PoE 2, [% increased physical damage] on weapons only affects that weapon, itself (hence showing in the weapon's damage)
I haven't had a chance to explore martial weapons (I play casters), but you might find a setup where one weapon has a good chance to cause bleed and another weapon that deals more damage to a bleeding enemy or something to that effect. If it leaves a lasting effect for the other weapon to benefit from, that could be a good dual wield.
In PoE 1, dual wielding carried an inherent increase to attack speed. That might be true in PoE 2, as well.

I'll ask it once more, this time clarifying it further. Is there a way to gain a significant boost to chaos DoTs witch has, like crit does to hits? Some special mechanic that I'm missing out on? Because, well, crit doesn't affect chaos DoTs. Or is the only way of improving damage I have is through chaos/spell damage increases?
pretty much. in poe1 we had dot multi for dots that was similar to crit multi for hits
but i dont think its present in poe2
just ailment magnitude so if you are non ailment dot you are kinda screwed

Chaos DoTs don't even contribute towards the poison magnitude 😦

I haven't found anything that will do much for chaost dot, but you never know what you might find. Maybe you'll find something that says crits cause you to do more chaos damage or something. Essentially, anything that doesn't specify hits only will apply to dots.

It's a shame how DoTs feel really left out, especially for Witch. You quite literally benefit from none of ascendancies. Hopefully the third ascendancy they will add for her will fix that, 'cause right now I'm not choosing any, as they will be essentially useless (Or even harmful) for my build.

its def not multiplicative if thats what you mean, but rather than being additive they may simply act independently so im gaining life back from both at the same time

but if it is indeed not bugged then they really gonna hit it hard
for bosses i just wait in demon form as long as i can, once boss spawns i got full stacks and 2 dot rotations will kill all campaign boses :d

Isn't it kinda bad for clearing maps, though? I mean, I get the bosses, but you need to stack demonflame each time to have a significant increase in damage, no? Plus it's on a pretty long CD.
is it redundant to have 50% fire exposure on enemies using oil grenade + strip away and use gas grenade with a skill gem that penetrates 30% fire resistance?
question, does projectile dmg or piericing effect gas arrow like it did with poision arrow in poe 1?

I couldn't say for sure if you'll double splash or not. It might just be a boolean of [Splash = true] and making it double true doesn't necessarily mean double splash. You'd have to test it out.
Oh, nvm, the hammer says that strike skills splash. Leap is a slam, not a strike. That's unfortunate.
