I'm trying one right now, but i don't know how good it'll turns out
Anyone know if this guy applies before or after resistances?
are flicker steop builds stil lgood
ah i recall in poe1 there's a site you can go to to see builds and IIRC you can look at builds based on the skills they use? is there something like that or close to that for poe2 yet? or is it still too early
Thank you! Is there specific nodes you go for?
Unsure, I'd assume after - but even then it's just a temporary solution unique, you're losing the main source of armour from a build in using this so it's mostly moot by a certain point in the game
ah its called poe.ninja for poe1, havent found anything like it for poe2 maybe it exists and i just am missing it?
Doesn't yet
That's a terrible question lol. What kind of build are you looking to play
as far as ive seen
It produces a Shockwave that counts as an attack 🙃
okay, bummer but ty. Mainly looking for a way to get a quick glimpse of support gems people are using on different skills
looking for some inspo
does armor/evasion get diminishing returns? not talking about the percentages, i mean like using the actual damage values you take
GGG doesn't have PoE 2 open as API service like PoE 1 does with your character on your account screen on their website so that will have to happen first for PoeNinja2.0 to exist
Is there an in-game debuff for intimidate? I'm trying to figure out why Blackheart isn't more popular, and I'm only hitting on it either being bugged, or people not realising intimidate was changed
I'm almost 100% there are diminishing returns
something with alot of attack speed
im just wondering what skill i should be thinking about
so is it more efficient to go for mixed armor+evasion?
Charged staff monk.... lightning arrow ranger...
Was thinking about putting it back in after acquiring Knightly Tenets
No?
Do "hits" still count if you are actively blocking or does it negate them?
Id assume so, but you're going to be splitting up your passive tree too, so the math might not math
I'm using it for a full tank gemling PotCG build
idk if it's the exact same in poe2 but ain't the way armour works that it's weaker against big hits and more effective against small hits
and for evasion that you eventually will get hit
Yes
youre still losing your best source of flat armor in using the unique
Are rune sockets on weapons a global modifier? Like, when I put iron runs in my Xbow for physical damage, I noticed it didn’t reflect an actual weapon physical damage increase (unlike the actual prefix).
Damage reduction vs damage avoidance
kinda depends cause some areas of the tree have a bunch of armor+evasion % nodes. but then whats the point of keystones like "converts all evasion to armor"?
isnt that just less efficient then?
Yeah, but you can still get a reasonable amount from belt, shoes and helmet, especially with iron reflexes
would ice shot scale well with attack speed :?
You'll find those predominantly near merc area
As for this, yeah, it's probably pretty niche just a different build
Speaking of, is there any way to input a weighted sum of actual stats rather than modifiers into the trade website?
Do totems use your increases to damage?
Give it a shot then ig theres not much downside if you have a large source of armor elsewhere because if its not enough phys mitigation youll likely notice
I think there was a thread post in #1308715317375270952 about it
but I wouldnt plan around it being reliable
how long does it take for this skill to be fully charged and why does it not say anywhere
Take a long time
The exact opposite of what you're looking for
does it take 1 attack?
its pretty fast with a bow with a large amt of IAS
worth of channeling?
what if you fork
Pierce 🙃
well how does the channeling work
what build can utilize this node the best?
its not going to be comparable to clear skills is all im getting at lol
right
its good for bosses and high hp rares
a fireball build would greatly benefit from this
can it be good as a blood mage? got a blood mage i dont like atm
not even sure how to answer that lol
you channel one attack
for how long?
literally just try it lol
true
nobody likes there blood mage. People are having huge difficulties scaling the blood mage into end game atm. Most succesfful ive seen go the completely other way and go melee
Which is the best DESTILED for galvanic mercenary?
Wonder if all it would take is adding a significant % mana cost reduction to skills on the first node
Yeah, likely true. Actually dying to physical damage is a pretty big worry.
Of course, the whole idea is dead on arrival if the armour applies before resistances
Since the effectiveness of armour depends on the incoming damage
poor blood mages :/
does dps calculated reload time? for crossbows?
or does it just assume you have infinite ammo
The dps number from the skill menu is useless
Correct
well its ultimately a tree HP/regen scaling issue
But mana cost reduction would effectively reduce the life cost as well
because like for example. If you wanna scale MoM its cake right you can get tons of regen and have MASIVE mana pool. You cant do that with health right
if you wanted to scale ES you can also do that
You MIGHT be able to use it to gauge which one of your skills is doing the most dmg. Couldn't tell you about merc reload time
what is gauge
Yah I see what your saying but it would make stuff for other classes inconsequential and they want mana to be meaningful in this game
Ive seen several people ask on this chat if it even works. I have not seen any confirmation that it does or doesnt work
well if we just go by tooltips, it doesn't change anything
I assume if a unique grants a skill, then triggers that skill in some way, it always triggers the version granted by the item? I can't make it trigger a higher level version of the skill I also have equipped?
well we cant really trust tooltips right lol look at poe 1
I think it makes the ascendancy more interesting, allows blood mage to fill a niche where you can use higher mana scaling skills more easily by mitigating the mana cost by using your life
depends on the actual value
My thought was possibly merging the 10% spell leech with the first node.. and maybe create something to help scale hp better in place of the lost node
well it is kinda difficult to test so the tooltips are the only thing to reasonably go off
Yeah I could see that working too
I understnad lol
guess i'll just spec out of it anyway
bonestorm and detonate date are busted anyway lol
Detonate dead really did feel good doesnt it?
anyone know what stats will scale fire thorns damage? i heard fire pen and fire exposure do but that's not really increasing damage, just increasing how much of my damage actually goes through.
hm can you guys tell if attack speed made the channel faster?
btw just for my information, is the bug for bonestorm casting without move penalty reported?
if not i should go report it
use snipe once on a boss then die, record two videos, one with the node and one without and compare damage numbers because it should be significantly higher with the node
just an idea
easy way to guarantee the crit
bruh i ain't doin all that lol
ok
First shot is faster but only by about a second.
thats alot
theres only 25 percent attack speed diff
do you think i can spam sniper if i get insane attack speed
Probably
I like his idea on how to actually test it
If you get the perfect timing window yes
could someone tell me how totems work if they have a weapon requirment dous that mean that if i switch to my other weapon the totem disapears?
guys how much resists i need extra to bypass elemental weakness? 110?
if you dont hit the perfect window timing it does not crit or explode
Assailum makes it easy as fuck
assailum?
you arent using only snipe in your build
its not a clear skill
as i said before lol
is that item 1 exalt?
yeah its cheap
its fun to use, probably better to use a rare later but w/e
well
i might need it
if im going to be stacking attack speed
i wonder if the perfect time window
will go down as i stack attack speed
or if that one will stack the same
Anyone know if its possible to block aoe damage somehow?
I dont think IAS reduces the timing window, just the time it takes to get to that window from the start of the channel
I know you can dodge it.
but I could be wrong
where can i find how armor is calculated in poe 2?
Anyone?
Hold alt and hover over perfect timing for more info. It might have it in there
I thought there was a keystone that let you do that, but I'm not sure
Does minion pacts increase essence drain dot?
Keystone?
Email GGG and ask nicely because no one knows
They wont tell
Warbringer node
its not underlined on the skill and the skill doesnt have any info on it
I asked a GGG employee about poison and how its calculated with gas grenade, and was told they arent allowed to disclose how the game functions
It is in assailum. Weird
Or is that just a wiki link?
question
be Warbringer or use Wailing Wall unique
the skill says explode onm impact
only sources I'm aware of
yeah thats our job
is it too different from poe 1?
does charm effects stack on each other?
like can i have tripple fire res and have +75fire res?
@still rock Thats silly considered there are missing details at this moment
Yeah of course, no criticism about that
Q: What are good runes to slot into my Widowhail?
My piunt being that a good amt of the time I bet you most GGG employees dont even know how it works
We don't know
Probably
Quick question, is there any inherent stat gain as you level, outside of gear/passive tree?
Like do you gain 10hp per level etc
can this explode multiple times with pierce/chain
so they tell them not to say anything so they arent giving misinfo spread by an authority
I had to give up on my gas grenade build because I couldnt get the appropriate information on how aspects of it worked. Its a bit frustrating
In my experience, it will explode when it can no longer pierce
pretty sure its on impact so pierce is bad
Correct
correct
I would wager it would. Most things that only occur on the final target say so.
I also think that I even tried it and it worked. But I might have only tried scattershot...
Probably same
Show the other tab for that
Do we know what "on impact" means?
I guess it's not "on hit"...
I'm assuming you want +proj and not pierce
if it hits a target or collides with a wall?
but if it forks, pieces, or chains, it still hits the target before doing other stuff
My best guess is that it would be the initial hit or final destination of the projectile
It should be very easy to test
i can test it?
i think "on impact" means Not chain/pierce/fork
and has lowest prio
it definitly doesnt work for pierce
But look at storm caller arrow by Comparison. That one specificially says final target
not sure about fork/chain
ok sweet it does seem like the self damage counts as a hit
What's the damage penalty on fork?
+proj would give you additional explosions though
no
i think on explode "just consumes the projectile"
50 less
Oof
^
not 50 on the entire skill like chain
Fork creates additional projectiles from the hit, not from the attack source, so it's completely different
Oh, that's significantly less oof
yeah but you could get better stuff on Snipe
like?
i personnally wouldn't use it to clear whites
Not with that attitude
but its the only skill i could find with a constant
mana cost
in relation to attack speed
Window of Opportunity + Supercritical + Concentrated Effect atleast
its not a skill that would clear effectively in comparison to other skills that dont force you to not move for 1-3seconds at a time
is that fair?:) lol
well with attack speed it might be instant
its not
you still need to hit that perfect timing
its just faster
ok so what if u stack alot of attackspeed
I use Snipe mainly for Rares / Bosses
is there even a cap to attack speed?
prob not
but there is almost no More Attack Speed
how so?
its nutty for bosses with like 4 or 5 frenzy charges you legit just do 75% of a bosses hp lol
FlickerStrike has it on its skill ;p
I use Barrage + Snipe
any recommendations for a notable to put on my amulet for lightning arrow / herald of ice / lightning rod / cast on shock etc build
currently not using marks
ranger
frenzy charges and barrage specifically is what i mean
I sadly use Martial Tempo on my clear skill ;p
Nobody is stopping you from making a bad build we're just giving you advice lol
i mean its not bad
oh warbringer is more attack but increased accuracy :C
you can use snipe with ignite and spread?
to solely use snipe for clear would be bad
jsut wanna confirm, i can change this annoint whenever i want right?
in terms to relative clear speeds
i mean everything will be bad
or is it like runes
im just making a silly attack speed builkd
forever there
Go for it
does execrate work with the electrocute support gem? to increase electrocute buildup
What sources of ignite prolif exist rn? I havent looked at all of them
support gem, Wildfire
I believe you can apply a new anoint to overwrite the prior one
thanks!
This gets generic area modifiers or no?
I havent figured that out yet
ailments are based on your hit
Area of effect
yes
Cool
losing a support kinda sucks
agreed
wait where my amulet go
Does the "allies in your presence " mods on sceptres count as auras for the passive tree nodes in the middle left hand side of the tree? Or is this just from thing like purities or discipline?
Ah yeah Cracklecreep ring
thats the one
but it specifically mentions them having to stay in the area for 2 seconds
which kinda sounds ass
true
ignite feels the weakest ailment atm
i'm going to try bow bleed now
poison is pretty decent
I personally just don't like the skills for it.
@dawn spire hmm my amulet disappeared lol
Poisonburst is fun
what exactly does magnitude of poison affects? I don't see my poisonburst arrow getting any extra damage from getting more magnitude nodes
I'd try relogging, check your stash, or the anoint thing again
What are bloodmages building, i was doing hexblast but it kinda feels bad
I am very much interested in 2H sword / Axe, Spear / Dagger ...
Are you looking at the gem dps tooltip? That does not take into account ailments at all
It makes the poison do more damage not the initial hit
oh my god it was in the annoint interface, thats crazy thanks!
almost had a heartattack
Dagger is gunna be sick as hell i think
I hope so
well, yeah since poisonburst arrow has second tab for the burst. I thought it'd show me the damage of the dot
There's so much more flavor in the attack skills now that they're based on an individual weapon
I guess there's no way to tell then \
i btw have about ~5 Gemling Legionaires 😜
Nope. You can only see hit dps of your skills
right
that means I'm going to be doing this chaos poison bow monk build blind I suppose
it should tell you the estimated poison damage in the detailed window
it doesn't
atleast it does for things with envenom
Tbf, the tooltip dps for hit builds is also highly inaccurate. We're all blind
it also doesn't tell you chance to Ailment (Poison / ignite / etc.)
at least with hit build numbers go up. Trigger something in my ape brain. This one nothing goes up as I keep pumping points in the tree
do increased Global Physical Damage apply before the skill converts the dmg to other elements?
What do you guys think are good runes for Widowhail?
all the built-in poison arrow skills all deal an amt of poison dmg as a % of your base weapon damage as if they were an attack so just make that number go higher its not that complicated
i believe so yes
why even bother with poison magnitude then. Or any poison nodes for that matter
be default ailments does 25% of your hit damage per second
so lets say you deal 1000 damage, you have 250 damage per second ailment, but you can increase it with magnitude
because it increases the calculation from attack damage magnified to poison damage
I have 2793 mana, mana stacking sorc (currently fireball/icewall, perhaps spark later) and I have enough for a 28% everlasting gaze amulet, do I switch to 1HP with CI ? And then I'll be broke. Or do I wait a bit more. Still at the end of act 2 cruel btw
and magnitude do come in larger percentages. compared to damage percentage
this doesnt apply to the built-in poison bow skills rn from my understanding, thats for generic poison from hits
yep some skills apply damage of ailment differently
they're separate things but both count as poison for calculations from magnitude and both deal chaos damage etc
TBF ailment calculation is completely different from PoE 1.
I'm also scratching my head from time to time.
I refund a lot of skill tree points
I also am close to thinking going for jewel slots only, might be better a lot of times.
Did any aspects of the Mercs support gems for explosive grenades change? Tying to follow a YT guide but I don’t see a couple of the gems they’re talking about.
for instance,
a jewel can ahve attack damage / attack speed / damage with "bow" all together ...
they don't have specific ascendancy points for it
Not sure what you mean? Only level 19 right now
what is this node for
does more skill speed multiple only skill speed or also attackspeed/cast speed?
It basically does a much stronger poison than if you were to poison through using your basic attack and get the same exact damage of hit, because it adds a calculation of attack damage to determine the base damage before magnitude rather than the normal % taken from a hit that doesnt have a built-in poison effect
both
thats my understanding of it at least
it quite literally does
no
Increases and reduction to Skill Speed stack additively with increases and reductions to Attack Speed, Cast Speed, and similar stats.
my question is if 25% more skill speed will first multiple with my skill speed and then additively add to my attackspeed
or if it will multiple 25% with my attack and skill speed
For instance, one of the support gems is “fire infusion” though I don’t see it as an option
what a way to ask for help
it's literally general attack speed
click this, to see all skills that work with your selected skill
so it will do both
so magnitude does matter? I'm giving up on this. There seems to be no definitive answers. Game says nothing changes
it will x0.25 both your attack and your cast speed
okay thanks
since it's a MORE multiplier
the way it reads i thought it means i would multipli "Skill speed" then additively add to attack speed.
Considering poison magnitude is the quality for poisonburst arrow id highly doubt its not intended to work
if you are using a spells, it's like a 25% more cast speed
if you are using attacks, it's 25% more attack speed
And we've learned over the last decade to not trust tooltip damage numbers lol
Man, can you just say yes or no. No need for the riddles
Im trying to help you
it does matter.
well, it does, once you understand that skill speed is just the way they have worded "general speed of execution of your abilities"
understand the mechanic
higher magnitueds is more powerful
is the electrocute buildup from support gems affected by "ailment chance" modifiers?
the tooltip only says "Increases and decreases to Skill Speed"
I'm trying to get helped. But I want answers. I understand that magnitude is supposed to multiply how much of initial hit is taken into account to increase poison dot. But poisonburst isn't chance based poison, it's guaranteed. And numbers don't change. That is all
Guys best gems for spark as a witch minion user ?
if i have 0 skill speed and i get 25%more skill speed i could assume it does nothing
and then adds to my attack speed/cast speed
Hey guys, i play monk now and use tempest bell I'm just curious whether do i give more damage when i hit bell by my staff or by skills?
thats fine, it just means you garantee a poison ailment, the damage of the skill + magnitude still applies to overall poison ailment damage
also no reason to add "Skill Speed" into the game
just make every node that says skill speed.
say Attack speed and Cast speed.
attack speed only works for attacks, not spells
its a balancing thing (pretty sure)
it's a few nodes that would be useful for hybrid builds
that use both spells and attacks
like monks or w/e
or maybe even other classes actually
well im saying if 25%more Skill Speed is just 25% more attack speed and 25% more cast speed
why not just say that on the node
and remove skill speed from the game.
welcome to GGG
this is why PoB was invented
its unnecesairly extra term that does functionaly nothing
i guess they could do that i guess, idk
unless i am misunderstanding
Attack speed, is for attacking.
Cast speed, for casting.
Skill speed, for all skills.
there is a difference, since i can't get a lot of cast speed in the bottom section of the tree. so there for I'm unable to cast faster then top side of tree.
however i can take some skill speed to use that to my advantage instead.
because skillspeed is the parent of attackspeed and cast speed, and both Extending the main class, the hole game is written like programming xD
skill speed = cast speed and attack speed effectively added together to be the same thing, there also happen to be skills that are not spells or attacks that have use times so it those few scenarios it does something additional as well
hence the extra wording
its a complex game for sure.
theory crafting is fun ;p
trying to make a build work is interesting.
:
Now I want some help ;p
wait does attack speed increase reload speed on crossbows?
what do I slot in my windowhail QQ
been thinking about Attack speed by 5% but flat damage is also really good.
So I want to make a melee witchunter just to test it out. Would try to use the 3 dragons helmet to lightning proc slam attacks. any suggestions?
For what skill
can you hit a target multiple times with scatter shot?
yes 100%
not sure yet, but lets say snipe / ice shot / spiiral volley
so 1 attack speed ads 1 reload speed aswell?
it increases Crossbow reload speed yes
at the same rate?
Its a calculation based on reload speed and attack speed but yea
I have 2793 mana, mana stacking sorc (currently fireball/icewall, perhaps spark later) and I have enough for a 28% everlasting gaze amulet, do I switch to 1HP with CI ? And then I'll be broke. Or do I wait a bit more. Still at the end of act 2 cruel btw
or some wierd converion
can't say for sure
but i personally think attack speed is better then reload speed.
so i rather go for attack speed nodes then reload speed nodes on the tree
Tested out the reload thing it gets noticeably faster if you have attack speed and reload speed
i didnt even know attack speed increased reload speed
I am planning a hexblast infernalist Lifestacking with these 3, using the infernalist to solve the mana issues i call it better bloodmage kinda hyped how it will turn out:
yeah I played a shit ton of merc with multiple different weapons xD
friend of mine now is playing explosive shot.
does scattershot allow you to hit a target multiple times
yeah scattershot is different for Bow / Crossbow
bow it shoots projectiles in a cone.
crossbow it shots multiple projectiles at your target
trying to make a melee build for witchhunter. Want to make a 3 dragons version of a mace build
where can you see attack speed on your char?
under character (c)
Or under the specific skill
its not there
skill
im thinking of using it on shattering palm going a stagger monk build
i have to manually count all attack speed nodes in my passive tree?
Is there any unique that grants alot of strength?
i think ticaba for crit and citaqualotl for ele dmg or quipolatl for attack speed
those sound the best
Meginord rawhide belt
yeah but the crit base is so darn low (5%)
Meginord belt
what is the base attack speed?
Crit feels like a trap XD
make a new char?
oh no, not if you go ailments
since ailments scale on hit damage, crit is pretty good
what is the best rune/soul core if youre already res capped? (ranger if that matters)
I like to use luck XD to max roll damage
yes.
true youd really only benefit from snipe
probably the WED then
yes that is my current build
snipe and bleed
i mean the crit dmg
haven't found a bleed spread yet
Got any suggestions for a melee witchunter shock condition build?
yeah that is my current setup ;p
no other skills?
going to acts atm
since i wanted a witchhunter not gemling for this
even though gemling would be better
for crit dmg
i dont understand reload speed
Gemling has some great potential. Just looking for gems that scale well
Is there a way to lower cost of using giants blood for a weapon without getting reduced attribute on weapon?
i got about 5 gemlings
gemling sounds good if you have 50 divines
Im playing minion Gemling
are my main ones
Think there is a pair of gloves that just require 2x attribute
1.6 attack per second is the base attacks speed and 0.8 second is the reload speed.
since CoC is not in a good place right now, this one is not yet played ;p
Does anyone know the name of them?
Treefingers
Riveted Mitts
but on this cross bow that gives me 30 percent attack speed and -30 reload speed i somehow have lower reloadtime then the time mentioned?
Im struggling to figure out what jewels to target for Minion Gemling
gloves say Giant's Blood so they got changed when keystone did.
Should I focus them on res?
So quick question: If I wanted to build a Bloodmage, what should I keep in mind? Mana and life leech right?
theyre different bases
dang. Out of luck then.
it doesn't get updated, reduced still has to apply
So it just gives me the passive and doesn't reduce the attribute cost?
then why is the number blue
Quality?
rampart raptor has 0.85 reload speed
so it is already applied
why does it apply twice
?
Which one for my third notable?
assuming I have a lot of increased lightning damage already, would a wand with inc spell damage be better than inc lightning dmg?
why does it actually apply twice lol
0.85 / 0.70 = 1.21 reload speed (time mentioned on the crossbow)
1.21 / 0.70 = 1.72 time mentioned on the reload
I dont think local reload speed is affected by local attack speed in this case, maybe it works with global IAS but i havent used them so idk
also attack speed is doing nothing to reload in this case
It really doesn't matter one way or the other. If you're doing Spell Lightning Damage then Spell Damage and Lightning Damage both give you the same benefit.
attack speed gives faster reload
local and global matter here i think
yeah also 30% less and 30% more dont balance out
base reaload is in seconds. A crossbow takes longer to reload than a bow in general. So all multipliers apply to the base time of the respective weapon.
- There are soul cores that convert 20% of stat requirement to another stat. Costs a socket on the weapon.
- There are 3 minor nodes at south edge of passive tree that reduce attribute requirements, in a cluster that gives a lot of attributes. If making the character as Gemling Legionnaire then ascensions contain more.
- The Vertex Tribal Mask cuts attribute requirements in half.
- Solus Ipse Grand Visage reduces them by 25%
okay, i wasnt sure if I have a bunch of increase for 1 type then the other would give me more benefit
i dont think anyone is understanding my problem i am having
the base reload time of the bow is 0.85 but my reload time is 1.72
the bow only has -30% reduced reload speed
how does it get this number
There is diminishing returns on all "increased damage" but both Spell Damage and Lightning Damage both go into the same diminishing returns bucket.
where are you reading 1.72
Can someone explain this to me like Im 5? What are my odds of rolling +spirit on this body armor?... https://poe2db.tw/us/Body_Armours_dex#ModifiersCalc
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
Is a staff or wand better for stormweaver?
is it actually taking that long?
is the default speed of basic bold slower?
do you have any passives that lower your attack speed.
can you show to G menu skill info
that’s an absurd reload time even for basic bolt
@long timber this
Depends entirely on the staff and wand. Inherently, and outside of skill weapon requirements, it doesn't matter.
but for your crossbow
reload speed is not in the tab
and this
attack speed base is 2.08
So basically only the affixes matter?
Generally I prefer wands, since you can use an offhand for more versatility, but there are situations and stats where a staff is better.
Could someone explain to me what these odds mean to roll +spirit?
In most cases, yes.
8/78?
you might need to switch the stat page to ammunition and show that aswell
also
8 is the amount of tiers, 78 is the item lvl req of highest tier. Affix roll weights aren't known.
attack speed does not effect
reload speed
i dont know where people are getting this from
default crossbow has no ammunation tab
It's that the faster your attack speed the more often you have to reload, which creates a weird inverse issue where more attack speed is diminished by the number of times you have to relaod.
theyre probably getting it from playing the game and visually testing stuff instead of asking questions about tooltips in Discord
Oh jeez. So the only thing this site is good for is to check if the item CAN roll which affix you want? As far as I can tell there is no way to look up the exact items ?
but since reload times are the same for most skills
Generally speaking a slow, higher damage Xbow is better than a fast, low damage Xbow, because of reload.
here is the same problem on a different skill.
1.73s reload time
this time
not 1.72s
this time
haha
It's also good for finding the stat groups in case some modifiers exclude each other, and the tags that are relevant for some crafting methods.
The number does not change for attack speed. But if you time it it does.
Hm ok thank you
so no one can explain the 1.73s number
Yes dont trust the data in the sheets completely.
im glad im not losing my mind and this Xbow is reloading slower then it should
Time the a video with different setups and you will get diffrent resoults for attack speed.
The reason may be as it shortens both attack speed and reload animations.
Also, GGG is not known for having the most accurate tooltips. I wouldn't get hung up on them. Use your best judgement from actual gameplay.
im more consierned with the reduced reload applying twice atm then the attack speed contributing to reload speed atm
the skills that reload different bolts most likely have an inherently longer reload time
^ this could be it
There is also a weird interaction with reloading due to being out of ammo and reloading due to switching to a different bolt set.
im using the same attack*
They do have different reload times.
Which builds do you guys think are the strongest rn
i know some have increased reload time
the screenshots you sent were all from the skills that reload different bolts
why are you so sassy
it might be that ammunition crossbow skills have a reduce rate on reload speed.
lol
Hineveryone can I have some help on a titan build plz
how can I tell if scavanged armoiur buff actually does anything? there is no icon....does it work when totemz kill?
the screenshots
i send
are all form bow attack
with normal
reload speed
this is a special reload also it would say on the screenshot
this would double the time?
Remember, tooltips aren't 100% accurate 100% of the time.
i assume.
Like, they could just be wrong.
Anyone would be nice
Honestly Jessy, you should leave Xbows alone. They are the weapon in need of the most attention for balancing.
Try a different weapon/build.
It might not be for you.
%reduced reload speed seems to be applied twice
%less reload speed seems to be applied once
okay hear me out,
what if the reduced reload speed is on the weapon and the ammunition skill
and thus is reduced twice
do bows count as a two-handed weapon
lilly was doing some crazy fast reload tech in a build and it looked pretty insane like machine gun constantly
i think it used the reload skill
whatever its called
honestly maybe
emergency reload
yeah that one
i just swapped to quarterstaff but when i get bored maybe i’ll look at xbow again
is increased reload speed a modifier you can roll on x bows?
latest patch nerfed it on cooldown skills, can still abuse on tempest bell and other non cooldown skills that have a similar stacking component
check poedb for all affixes
this video
need the link?
is the one i was referring to
how are the minion brutes. Worth the try ?
Hey guys what are some of the strongest builds rn in your opinion
https://youtu.be/ptnXi3NbQIs?si=wefLARrqlyJcPH0G
this was the completed build using the tech
please god check the written guide https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/plasma-burst-deadeye-ds-lily

honestly there are so many that it's a tough question. imo play what you want and you'll likely find a good build for it.
Normal Essence into Greater Essence on a Normal Wand should guarantee [%damage] and [+All Element/Chaos skills]
It guarantees it on Chaos,
and if PoE2DB is correct, also guarantees it for any element. The [%Damage as Element] and [% Chance Ailment] mods do not actually have Cold/Fire/Lightning tags on them.
But I haven't tested it in game, and I probably won't as I only need Chaos anyways.
How much increased armour/eva/es do you guys aim for currently? I've been trying to sit around 100% increased es/armour but it still feels like tissue paper.
That number alone doesn’t mean anything
i know that
Appreciate the answer! I’m only playing stuff I think is cool was just curious what the consensus is
increased % nodes or your values
Would having 80% evasion + 80% armour with 2.3k ES be better than 60% evasion + 60% armour with 3.2k ES?
I'm about to do my third trial. Which ascendency notable looks better?
Total values on my character sheet
Depends if u need defences or damage
Whats a good planner for mapping out a build idea? Any site doing it right?
Maxroll does it
I like the chaos res option
ok well i wasn't looking for that. just seeing what ballpark people are aiming for with increased defenses nodes
hows protect me from harm
feel good?
Strong
it sounds insane
Well, judging by popularity: Infernalist, Deadeye, or Stormweaver. Of those three Infernalist is probably the best combination of easy + powerful. Minion builds usually are.
is there a way to upgrade base damage for orange colored quarterstaff?
what build is this good for?
it was probably the one that stuck out from just reading it out of all the defensives from ascendancies
as being insane
Whats a good ratio for armor to evasion? Also if i get a crossbow with +1 projectile is it worth taking over a higher flat damage bow?
Yeah having mixed evasion and armor is good for defense layers
A witchy curse build?
Would having 80% evasion + 80% armour with 2.3k ES be better than 60% evasion + 60% armour with 3.2k ES?
is there a meta curse build? ppl are whispering me a lot but i didnt knwo of any builds that could use this
seems like 0 dmg on it which is surprising
Maxroll imo, the more I use the planner the more I'm impressed with their dev team lol
works really good
Ppl just want the ES + skill effect
and able to create folders and save and organize is huge for me
whats the skill effect good for
especially all in a webapp
Everything that has a cooldown
I don't know about meta, but there are ways to make a curse build do a bunch of damage with appropriate supports like the Doom and the DoT based on Intelligence.
Just started checking it, shocked it's mobile friendly. Huge for couch gamers
I'm playing a Hand of Chayula/Hexblast curse build.
But I don't need curse duration
its about 500x more mobile friendly than GGG's own website lol
that ancient thing
Facts. My god
Personally my favorite PoE site is the POE 2 db. I get most of my info there.
It can be annoying to navigate, but it does have the most info.
I use temp chains / conductivity. This would be good for me
in terms of planner tools tho its pretty bad
its good for info
thats abt it
I'll use Maxroll most likely until PoB exists
For sure. As far as planners go yeah I use Maxroll. I hope PoB Community Fork gets updated soon so I can use that.
has anyone been able to make a good physical/bleed witch build yet
nvm
oh poe ninja is dead then? I used to use that for price checking on trade.
I could live without it though.
Path of Building I would miss horribly though lol
im assuming poe2 eventually gets public api for character data
so then a poe ninja would be able to exist
Its extremely unimportant so i imagine it's very low priority in the studio
Servers lags today ? I keep getting slowing every now and then
ive had (mostly infrequent) lag spikes since launch tbh
not super bad but annoying here and there
try changing servers
the server closest to me is notoriously wonky in poe1 assuming they use the same data centers
Anyone know of a good written ice invoker monk guide?
do minions inherit damage gained as?
no
like if i get this dark defililer will my minions get 30% damage as chaos damage if i have 10 minions?
no
aw
do you think the dark defiler could be any good
just with unearh and summon zombie you can get like 60% damage as chaos
or more
depends if the minions have to actually be alive
minions stop existing when they die
booo
there was a minion in poe1 that would resurrect eternally
then probably not cause idk how you keep all those fuckers alive
it was a corpse you could reanimate with summon spectres
theres a cleric here
but idk its efficacy
maybe if you just had all clerics
lmao
they just res eachother
but anyways its probably not good no because if you want to scale spell damage youd ideally want +spell level so idk what this unique is even for tbh
but that goes for like 90% of low level uniques in PoE
coming up with a build that uses all your spirit on clerics would be funny as hell tho
if skeletal clerics could heal you tho
if there was some type of damage aoe you could put on minions that stacked or something idk
minion instability + infernal legion?
wait infernal legion is burning so it doesnt stack
but minion instability is a hit
just stack clerics and minion life
how much max spirit is like top end of minion builds rn
Can some one tell me, on ps5. Where can I see my spell crit chance stats?
Hi, I'm new and could use some help to make myself a build (Monk).
Can somebody help me?😅
So.....you can't block everything, there are big heavy attacks that can one hit you, and aoes.
On hardcore....I mean 1 life.....why does unwavering stance exist?
It's like a death for ur char.
how is this meant to work?
cmon bro
some attacks I barely skate out of reacting instantly with my dodge roll, the aoes
For people who want to play poe1 but slower
besides, stun threshold is huge, u dont even need to double it, meh shrug
tbh I want to play a tank build too, but apparently.
They've just thrown the dmg balance out of wack from what ive heard
i heard u can get hitlike 20k before resistances
Well
and some people speculated 100k
They’re gonna nerf it again
hopefully 100k is nonsense
Im 99% sure
im gunna pay for them to make a unique that gets dmg scaling from stun threshold
then I'll show you
what does everyone think the upper limit of a singular attack is?
through 75% fire resist?
Unless it’s a mix of types
intended slam mechanic or nah?
cant be...
I mean it’s a mechanic
its gotta be a mix
The circles thing
i think its fine for the game to have intended slam mechanics that are unmitigatable
It does a lot of damage but chances are certain builds can tank it
It looks like fire and ggg has said they tried to make damage types consistent with color
20k after max resistances?
Chaos is green and purple
Maybe a warrior with the extra max fire res and heatproofing
can someone send me a good gemling legionaire build
warrior can increase their resistance cap?
Not sure what people expected lol
what type of warrior?
Bottom left of the tree there’s max fire res
endgame giga stupid money gear gemling will be tankiest imo but that requires a full skill page of 5 socketed gems
Idk other than specific boss mechanics and bullshit on death effects from rares I really don’t find myself dying to bs
mmmmmm
There’s just more max fire
There might be other nodes I haven’t explored the tree fully
Since I got like 40+ chaos res and have 65+ armor and 75+ evasion
i havent taken off my chaos charm since like a2 cruel
they nerfed a lot of dmg spikes recently
there are only so many sockets, where to people get the gear to do every resist
feh
so could u be immune to fire or?
Wdym it’s so easy now
resist cap is easy lol
90% is hardcap resi
You take -40 res considering the campaign buffs
used to be -20 more at t11+
130 res of each type on gear and you’re overcapped
how ud o it easily?
you can get triple 30% values on single gear
Higher tier gear gets like 40+ res on it
rng + ilvl
guess im early game
28
Oh yeah you don’t have to worry too much
hinder is its own thing right, chill isn't hinder its like its own spell?
normal a1+a2 resi can be annoying to get
Early acts is the hardest to gear
making sure I dont die
Check vendor every time you level up
correct
its own debuff to be exact
lemme see
prob will take the recoup for extra squish but never use to use that kinda thing
sheesh
idk if it feels good to use against really bad stuff
gonna grab rest of crit nodes in it
where do these drop from idek lmao
notable are the midsized passives?
just searched really expensive gems every day
and keep an eye out
they are very rare to find ones with all the shit u want
Does increased aoe mods affect blasphemy curse area?
And the increased aoe effect of curses mod on jewels, does that also affect blasphemy curse?
Will titan increase the small node increases?
Okay I’m about to blow my brains out with the act two boss on my warrior, you can only dodge roll for so long when you do no damage! Any tips for build to make it less rage inducing
upgrade your weapon
you want big damage number
do bigger damage
so
unnatural resilience, every 40% uncapped
does this just mean every 40% fire resist u have
u get +2% max?
actually fuck it i cant affor dit
i need too much bs as it is
Rare from Sanctum
guess i need to run sanctum
can u get runes that give + to all resistances and like by a lot, like 30%?
Later?
titan?
5% all ele res from soul cores
No, every rune has only 1 tier. There's a soul core that gives 5 ele res
maybe if I can max my resists easy with just basic gear, Ill be able to use max hp runes after all.
as a warrior, how can i get an insane amount of health regen? i saw someone with 1300 hp regen per second 💀
chaos dmg isn't elemental resist right?
Titan warrior has a ascen skill that increases all small nodes by 50% saw your pic and the question popped into mind
chaos damage isn't mitigated by elemental resistances, if that was what you were saying
Is 75-112 not enough?
mmm not for invoker monk but probably yea
unsure
im level 25 and my witch sucks
there's another jewel that does like 27% increase
to stuff in area
https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Soul_Core_of_Atmohua what does this do?
Soul Core of Atmohua is a Soul core item.
== Item acquisitionSoul Core of Atmohua has restrictions on where or how it can drop. ==
Can appear as a reward in Trial of Chaos.
god so much to leanr lol
oh wait gear requirements i think, or requirements of everything
got it lol
energy shied is very good with any form of damage avoidance right ?
can someone explain me why my "Cast on Ignite" is not getting any charges? I'm infernalist and using SRS, the Dog and Flame wall but nothing is happening. I have hexblast, contagion and Impetus socketed into it
they made it so the energy is scaled on the magnitude of the ignite right?
so you can't just do the cheapy flame wall trick anymore i think
So i killed the boss and finished the trial but somehow my honor got deleted and i cant go to the ascendancy altar.. there was no attack nothing the boss died instantly what is this

my quest literall says "use the altar" so it knows i won
thx papa
it would be nice if i could recoup life costs as a blood mage
Can you cumulate Witchhunter's Zealous Inquisition + Explosions from Heral of Ash + Other forms of explosion on death ?
chest 3 sockets, weapon 2, everything else 1, right?
probably
Chest has 2 sockets too
And only 2h weapons have 2 sockets
My brother that is an effect of corruption.
Trying dual wielding and am very confused. Rage support on dual wielded Mace Strike only gives rage for the first hit, even though visually there are two hits and the enemy HP bar moves twice. Are dual wielded hits secretly considered a single hit for game logic?
Rage gain has a cooldown.
it really bothers me that it adds it left justified below the first two
just get a morior invictus
like way more than it should bother anyone
Ah thanks, that's what it is then. Any idea how long the cooldown is?
