if your bow has 100 phys dmg and you max charge it, it will do 100 phys dmg and 480 fire

Need some help please.
Tried to theory craft an Warbringer with Giant's Blood. I have hard time stacking so much strength to potentially wield a nice 212 STR requirement weapon. Looking at the tree and maybe some items with 30+ STR I could make around 400 STR with all the nodes on the tree. However the highest base on the trade requires around 212 STR. It means I need around 636 STR (560 STR with 12% reduced equipment requirements nodes).
Is it even possible to get so much STR ?

Infernalist is more versatile. Can get ton of spirit and be very tank or can be super mobile with demon form.
so 100 dmg can shock an enemy with 150 hp but it wont shock and enemy with 100000
Makes sense in that regard. Is it still worth it to have shock chance in the skillet tree or should I just go for more lightning damage?
you stack STR/INT and go for ARMOR/ENERGY SHIELD gear (focusing on HP and RES over dmg/util) also the best stat you can have on life flasks is instant recovery legit dont care how big the % is on any other stat instant recovery is king

as a sorcerer i am fine with clearing the maps but i always struggle WAY TOO MUCH at the bosses, what should i focus on? armor, energy shield, evasion? level 54 right now and trying to cap the 4 resistances first
cause more lightning damage = higher lightning hit which is more shock chance by default

Basically a way to be tanky by converting types of damage taken so you just need to max one type of resist.
the shock chance support gem is op btw it doubles your shock chance if you arent having good uptime with it

I’m having the exact opposite my mod. Clear is fucking insane. My bosses those take a minute I don’t die all the time but my damage is so low on single target.

No, I went heavy into lightning playing a dead eye lightning build with the tail wind, Ascension path 80% evasion and electrocute buildup on lightning rod with scatter the lightning rod doesn’t do a whole lot of damage but it’s been my solution for bosses cause I can just stagger them back to back to back
I dont have leech yet only 2 ascendency points lol

Well leech is currently broken in some way that's unclear to me, I seem to barely leech any health at all, and all blood mages I've talked to have had the same experience. So don't expect the leech ascendancy to solve your issues, because it won't, lol.
But it might get fixed sometime soon, hopefully. I think I heard that GGG acknowledged the issue earlier today
yeah I saw that, thankfully skills from implicit wands dont cost mana, so I can survive with my chaos bolt build for now

The cap of damage of ailment you can take before you get ignited, frozen or shock, etc.
A small barrier in which you wont take an ailment ie freeze/ignite/shock

I went threshold myself my archers sitting at around 60% increased mana gen mana doesnt move and gains super quick even using the flask that takes mana

Alright, so I noticed that the Chaotic Freeze skill specifically works with Chaos DoTs, and Frostfire boots the effects of ignites inflicted on frozen enemies. So combined with blackflame and hexblast, that should mean I can get a pretty serious Chaos DoT > freeze > Hexblast ignite chain going, and scale it all using chaos damage multipliers. Right?
Takes 4 shots with both hitting for norm mob, takes 2 shots with just the phys bow and my dps goes up but the math isnt mathing unless its splitting the dmg between the arrows or one is getting some sort of reduction
Also the targeting is weird the more projectiles it adds sometimes small mobs are hard to hit unless im barrel stuffing

for a lightning stormweaver build, because using spark requires to cast flamewall every time, while Arc doesn't. I am new to the game so maybe i am misunderstanding, and I am only level 45 rn
Idk if it's just me, but it feels like some ascendencies have too many 'dead' choices when picked first.
e.g. there's like zero upside for pyromantic pact at the start, except to remove mana, i guess - but there isn't (or me anyways) any time i was ever close to running out of mana at the point you get the ascendency. I had originally started demon form, but when i realized that demon form makes your weapon unusable, and i needed to be in demon form for minimum 10 stacks before i saw a dps increase, but by then i'm dying fairly quick to the 'downside' of demon flames, it's like why did i pick this?
Same with blood mage, lots and lots of reports that blood mage is the 'noob' brick, at lvl 25 when you get it it has more downsides than upsides in the life cost, and most builds aren't 'tailored' to cover the downsides at lvl 25. anyways, i just don't remember so many 2 point 'meh' choices in poe 1... unless i'm missing something.
So why does cast on freeze not say it has any restrictions but won't let me socket charged staff spell
they multiply each other so it would be 1 x .5 x 1.25 = 0.675 so it is less 37.5% dmg
This keystone allows players to be ABLE to evade area of effect skills as well as the usual strike or projectile skills.
When do granted spells get more sockets?
To use spark as a main skill I think the added dmg from flame wall is too good to pass up but I haven't really experimented with Arc - they function completely differently so you'd have to optimize them differently and nothing is clearly optimized yet so it's hard to say which is objectively "better". Is that a fair answer?

ok yeah... it's basically an override so I don't think local block modifiers effect it? But you'd have to test with a shield that has added block chance as an affix with the node allocated to know for sure

so from my testing hex blast on something with 2 curses only consumes 1 curse
blasphemy can have 2 curse auras going on at the same time
but for some reason echo does not make hexblast blast a 2nd time

But good shields have more than 40% block so... unless you are using some specific unique really it is a bad node. Niche at best

Yeah, that's how I was reading it. But if the game effectively treats eva shields and foci as a shield then you could maybe use it for some niche purpose for eva scaling or to use a caster offhand
mace strike has less dps but my spells have more dps with the new one
maybe. I am just sad because I was hoping that is not what it did, and that leaves really only Jade and Totems as defensive options for warbringer and I hate totems with a passion and jade just seems bad

50% is the highest rare on trade, but that's with a t5 inc block (goes up to t7). Honestly this node should just add flat block chance otherwise I don't see the point, it just saves you one affix on a shield lol

the slow it inflicts on you just doesnt pay off, you are slowed and doing way less damage than fireball or even firebolt

yea, incenerate doesnt have the juice when clearing packs and its basically unusable vs bosses
sometimes with gems you can do tricky stuff that make it work. On warrior I had shitty ability but with the gems it fixed it, like added a gem that create an explosion each time I armour break and added a gem that armour break on stun, just an example soi I move around and it kills trash mobs

hello, I have been using Ancestral Spirits for a while, respecced and got armour below 0. Do the damn Ancestal Spirits form Warbringer ascendency do anything aside form...thet they jusr exist?

Considering you are forced to get the Less block chance if you want to use Turtle it should be at least as good as a semi-good shield. Is that base the highest % block?

Well you can always block spell projectiles without it, but being able to block all hits is big since that includes all AoE stuff which is alot more than just slams

Both block and evasion are stronger than PoE1, though block having active block does make block investment a little bit worse imo than evasion investment. Being able to just 100% block chance on demand is strong

Daze just needs to be easier to apply. It is not a bad effect, but buildup takes way too long for what it does
The only proper interaction with Daze that seems worth it is if you're using Vaulting Impact to consume the Daze
Everything is underwhelming in Poe 2. Final build does as much as a new level 60 with a tabula in Poe 1 XD

Maybe, but it is also working and I sort of don't see how PoE2 mechanics can do it better with how fast thigns die and kill

Not being able to override runes also feels pretty bad later on. Early game you replace gear fairly often and are not really at/close to resistance caps anyway. But later on if you find a new ring you can't just adjust your reistances to fit with that ring you need basically all new gear.
In the zizaran interview they said they didn't have a reason why you couldn't replace runes. Hopefully they change it soon

how does this work. I have 17k evasion(88% estimated) evasion with the Wind Dancer buff up. I feel like this would scale my evasion vs melee a lot and it is worth tossing on my amulet. (you lose wind dancer when you get hit by melee only, and it's rough when you lose it)

I got 1 mana regen node and haven't had any problems until I got to act 4 or the mana drain aura rares.
You can get increased mana on gear that would help. I think there are runes for it too

the 80% inc. phys on your weapon is likely a local modifier, i.e. it increases the base amount of damage the weapon deals. 80% of this base damage would be converted to fire, after which it would only be affected by global modifiers to fire damage, and not physical damage. the local phys on your weapon does benefit you greatly in this situation.

Just sharing something I've enjoyed playing with so far. It's not a 'starter', and may even fall off bad late game, I'm not sure. It is literally a blast though.

Hi I'm about to try and roll a infernalist, but I'm looking to understand what (if any) archetypes exist for the spec other than just pure fire damage.
Sometimes those options are not all mutually good with each other, or direct you to be more creative in how you interact with the larger passive tree, or direct how you gear or which uniques you would like in other ways.
Sometimes limitations force creative answers. Not to mention being able to take every good passive in an ascendancy would destroy game balance entirely and force ascendancies to feel more homogenous

So for example I did not see the value in +max mana on gear until I took my suicide bar upgrade, now +max mana means I get to toy with my own mortality slightly longer, but I can still completely ignore mana regen because it doesn't stop me from filling the suicide bar, I can only make the bar bigger

Guys I’m kinda lost at Demon Form. I have 130 spirit, mainly because of scepter, but I can’t enter the form when SRS is on? But it only consumes a portion of the spirit. It clicks a little golden halo above the head when I try with it on.
just know that dealing "more damage" is (in the vast majority of cases) much better than dealing "increased damage"
Just have this in mind, anything that says MORE, means that, more damage, but if it's just increase, it's just a minor buff, those 2 words carry very different meanings
Definitely being able to swap ascendancies (even for a big price) + making sure all nodes are somewhat equal in power would solve like 90% of pain points. I can see that its necessary for choices etc and definitely think that most of my frustration comes from the huge inequality between power of the nodes

Ideally yes. To make the choices feel worth it. Like for acolyte you get into breach and get some nice flames but then you just get a bit of life, mana and 5 sec buff that falls of before you get to actually hit the enemy. Can't compare with %gamble on up to double damage hits. As for the lackluster feel, maybe having the starting point be a keystone that would define the ascendancy would feel definitely great. Like for example blood mages have sanguimancy that they have to all take and spend 25% points for. Its baseline for everyone in the ascendancy, it defines the basic principle of buying into power, yet they have to wait days worth of playtime before progressing more in the ascendancy and getting the nodes that make it worth it.

you dont because monsters have different resistances values, and map modifiers can give them more

Undo the sangumancy investment for your ascendency, it burns too much life from mana costs if you haven't built enough life increases (especially if you haven't taken grasping wounds)

Yeah, you only take the 3% extra life and just don't spend it until you can also take grasping wounds at the same time from chaos trial completion
you either use implicit skills like chaos bolt from withered wand (what I am doing rn) or you stack a lot of life regen or you spec out of it

no and I am pretty sure that if I get blood magic the mana cost that I also pay with the skills gets added to the life cost so I will just die if I cast despair

once you get into act like 5 maybe 4 i would start stressing about crafting gear before than just use rares that drop/you buy and cracked blues (blue orbs are cheap so you cant waste a bunch of them)

think about it this way. would you want to use the regal orb now at get like idk +2-5 damage. or use it at level 40-50 and get like +100 damage or something

Hmmm trying to figure out if mid game Merc is undertuned or arson/SRS witch is overtuned mid game
frequently is the wrong word i think. when its worth the gold and a decent upgrade like again you level so fast early youd out level the item so fast that even at rare blue items could very well be better before you finish whatever act your on. where as in act 5 you might craft a rare that gets you a decent way into maps
Like I'm act 3 it took a good 5 minutes for Merc to kill the chimaera boss witch did it in 1 minute

not struggling yet i beat act 1 with warrior only died once but i know act 2 dreadnought and final boss kinda hard even with lightning charm so i wanted to be able to breeze through act 2

If you are using the chayula ascendancy
The chaos resist node would be pretty powerful. Chaos resist is usually less common to get on gear and getting double resist plus a extra %10 max would be very useful.
The darkness would be good investment because it's a pretty major survivability boost as well freeing up normal skill tree nodes to grab damage.
It might seem underwhelming but they have uses.
